Block out this Saturday – it’s Grand Final Day! 🏑 Hockey Burleigh has a team in six Grand Finals this year!

From our Div 4 Women at 9:00 am to our Div 1 Women at 7:30 pm, it’s going to be a huge day of action to enjoy.

Come down, cheer loud, and show your club pride – wear your blue and white and let’s get behind every team! 🌊

U10 Friday Night Flicks – Special Curtain Raiser

All 2026 Friday Night Flicks U10 players are invited to represent their clubs on the main turf as a curtain raiser to the Division 1 Men’s Grand Final – games kick off at 5:00pm ahead of the 6:00pm main event.

Uniform: black shorts, club socks, and a GCHA shirt (provided on the day).

Let’s fill the turf with U10 players from every GCHA club and make it a memorable curtain raiser!

Burleigh U14 Girls finished the Round Robin season with an outstanding 11 wins and 2 losses, seeing them finish on top of the ladder for the regular season.

The girls then played the Major Semi-Final and secured the win, sending them straight through to the Grand Final!

Grand Final day saw the girls take on Labrador, knowing it would be a fierce game. They played with so much heart, determination and teamwork, taking out the Grand Final with an incredible 5–0 win!

A huge congratulations to this wonderful group of girls, you have done yourselves and our Club incredibly proud.

A big thank you to our coaching team Nikyta and Keayla, and our Tech Official Rebecca, for all your.time, guidance and dedication throughout the 2026 season.

Massive Congratulations to our U12 Burleigh White team who were joint Grand final winners last Saturday. 🏆
Wow what a game!!! They were up against the undefeated Lab Gold team, who they previously lost 8-0 to at the start of the season. The growth in this group’s hockey as well as teamwork has been awesome! They played an exciting end to end game, with the score 4-4 at full time, they went into extra time. Both teams kept fighting hard and in the end the teams were declared joint U12 mixed Premiers and to top it off Zoe was awarded player of the final. 🏑 🏆

🏑🔥 BURLEIGH MEN — PRELIMINARY FINALS WRAP! 🔥🏑

With our Division 1 Men already safely through to the Grand Final, this weekend it was up to our Div 2 and Div 3 Men to fight for their chance to join them in the big dance.

And for our Div 2 boys…

THEY’RE GOING TO THE GRAND FINAL!!! 🔥🏆

💙🤍 DIVISION 2 MEN — GRAND FINAL BOUND! 🤍💙

Our Div 2 boys came ready for business and produced a huge 6–2 win over Labrador to lock themselves into the Grand Final!

It took 31 minutes to break things open, with Raemon finding the back board to get Burleigh on the scoreboard. 🏑💥

Then came the third quarter…

And it belonged to JB! 🔥

Not one.
Not two.
THREE GOALS — A HAT-TRICK!!! 🎩🏑🔥

But the boys weren’t finished there!

Preston and Bailey both found the back of the net in the fourth quarter to put the finishing touches on a dominant performance and seal the deal 6–2!

What a time to produce a performance like that! 👊🏽

DIV 2 ARE GRAND FINAL BOUND! 🏆💙🤍

💙🤍 DIVISION 3 MEN — HEADS HELD HIGH 🤍💙

Unfortunately, for our Div 3 Men, the result didn’t go our way.

But these boys certainly didn’t go down without a fight.

Capri showed up ready to go and put together a strong performance, taking the win 6–2 and bringing our Div 3 Men’s season to an end.

It wasn’t the ending we were hoping for, but our boys can hold their heads high after fighting right to the end and representing Burleigh with pride throughout their season. 💙🤍

Well done on your season, boys — we’re proud of you! 👏🏽

🏑🔥 BURLEIGH WOMEN DO IT AGAIN!!! 🔥🏑

With our Division 1 and Division 4 Women already safely through to the Grand Final, today it was up to our Div 3 and Div 2 ladies to see if we could do something pretty special…

AND THEY DID IT!!!

💙🤍 DIVISION 3 WOMEN — GRAND FINAL BOUND! 🤍💙

The weekend started with our Div 3 ladies knowing they were in for an absolute battle against Labrador.

They came ready. They dug deep. And in the 20th minute, Lisa snuck in an absolute beauty on the post to put Burleigh up 1–0! 🔥🏑

Labrador fought back, and the girls headed into the final quarter locked at 1–1.

Then came the 64th minute…

TAHNE POPPED IT OVER THE LINE!!! 🙌🏽🔥

2–1 BURLEIGH with just five minutes left on the clock!

And apparently the girls thought our heart rates weren’t quite high enough… because Labrador finished with SIX CONSECUTIVE SHORT CORNERS!!! 😳😳😳

But our girls WOULD. NOT. BREAK.

They defended every single one, held Labrador out!!! They waited for that whistle!!

BURLEIGH WERE THROUGH TO THE GRAND FINAL!!! 💙🤍🔥

💙🤍 DIVISION 2 WOMEN — GRAND FINAL BOUND! 🤍💙

Then our Div 2 ladies took to the stage!

And they showed NO MERCY! 🔥

Kodie got the party started in the 16th minute, before Captain Danni stepped up and found the back of the net in the 33rd minute🏑💥

Then in the 45th minute, Agostina sealed the deal and put Burleigh firmly in control!

The girls powered their way through to a brilliant 3–0 WIN and punched their ticket to the GRAND FINAL! 🎟️🔥

And that means…

🚨 BURLEIGH WOMEN HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!!! 🚨

🏑 Division 1 Women — GRAND FINAL
🏑 Division 2 Women — GRAND FINAL
🏑 Division 3 Women — GRAND FINAL
🏑 Division 4 Women — GRAND FINAL

FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW, EVERY SINGLE WOMEN’S GRAND FINAL WILL HAVE A BURLEIGH TEAM IN IT!!! 💙🤍💙🤍

That doesn’t happen by accident.

It speaks volumes about the strength of our women, and the depth across our club and, most importantly, the incredible group of women who put on the blue and white every week and play for each other.

Now there’s just one weekend left.

Our legendary Hockey Burleigh Grand Final Party Night is heading to the Clock Hotel Surfers Paradise this year.

From 9pm until 1am we have our own reserved room.
This is a ticketed event at $70 and includes food, beer, wine and standard spirits. (Until our tab runs out).

Sat 5th Sept straight after the completion of the games. Any minors in attendance will need to leave the venue at 10pm.

🏑 SENIOR PRELIMINARY FINALS – THIS WEEKEND! 🏑

Do or die time! A win books a Grand Final spot next weekend, a loss ends the season. Come down to Gold Coast Hockey Centre and enjoy some knockout hockey in your community.

⭐ Div 2 Men

Must beat Labrador Black to set up a grand final rematch against Roosters. Their four meetings this season have produced 34 goals combined, so expect goals at both ends. Chris Reid, Kevin O’Kane and Dutch import Raemon “Rhino” Tijsseling lead the line, while new dad Samuel Hart will need a good night’s sleep to shut down Labrador’s young guns.

⭐ Div 2 Blue Women

After a tough 1-0 loss to Labrador Gold last week, captain Danni Gillham and the girls face Labrador Black this Sunday looking to set the record straight. Watch for Chelsea Holden, Micaela Piacenza and Kodie Kutyn.

⭐ Div 3 Men

Round robin winners but fell 3-0 in the Major Semi. Now it’s do or die against Capri on Saturday. Paul Du Plessis, with 26 goals this season, will be key at corner time.

⭐ Div 3 Blue Women

Third after the round robin, they knocked out Labrador Black last week and now face Labrador Gold for a shot at the Grand Final. Samantha Vinen and Julie Mulligan lead the goal-scoring.

🏑 JUNIOR GRAND FINALS – THIS WEEKEND! 🏑

⭐ Open Boys

Fourth seeds, but you wouldn’t know it — our Open Boys have knocked out both Labrador teams to reach the Grand Final. Last week’s nail-biter had four goals, four yellow cards, a 10-minute yellow card, a red card, and a sudden-death shootout, sealed by keeper Tristan McDonald. 🧤

This Friday night, under the lights, they face table-topping Mudgeeraba, with a number of our key players out through injury and suspension. Despite the ladder gap, Burleigh have won their last three meetings — underdogs on paper, but captain Thomas Haysom will lead the charge. 💪

⭐ U14 Boys

Saturday: 2nd-placed Burleigh vs 1st-placed Labrador Gold in the Grand Final. We’ve lost all five meetings this season, so it’s time to turn the tide! Keep an eye on rising star Philip Bruese — 31 goals in 13 games. 🔥

⭐ U14 Girls

Favourites for Saturday’s Grand Final against Labrador after topping the round robin with only two losses all year. Burleigh have beaten Labrador four times this season, registering three clean sheets in the process. Top goal scorers Alysha Miller and Brooke Docherty will be key. ⚽

⭐ U12 White

Another 1st vs 2nd decider vs Labrador Gold — our youngest athletes get their first taste of Grand Final hockey. Come support them! 🙌

Come on down to the Gold Coast Hockey Centre and join in on the atmosphere for some Grand Final hockey this weekend! 🏆
