WELCOME TO MUSGRAVE, KEIRAN! 🧡

We’re excited to welcome Keiran McMonagle to Musgrave FC as our Men's First Grade Head Coach for the 2027 season!

Bringing years of coaching experience, including his previous time at Pacific Pines, Keiran understands the importance of strong club culture, building connections and creating an environment where players and teams can thrive.

We're looking forward to the experience and leadership he'll bring as we continue to strengthen our senior men's program and build on the future of football at Musgrave.

A few words from Keiran:

"I'm genuinely excited to be joining Musgrave as First Grade Head Coach for 2027. From my very first conversations with the club, it was clear there's real ambition here for change, a strong sense of community, and a willingness to invest in doing things properly.
That's exactly the kind of club I wanted to be part of.

For me, this is about more than one season. It's about building a strong, sustainable program at Musgrave.

At the heart of that is culture. I want to build a group that works hard for each other, takes real pride in the shirt, and enjoys coming to training every week. When the culture is right, players improve, the club grows, and the results follow.
I'm looking forward to meeting the members, volunteers and supporters who make this club what it is. This is a project we'll build together, and I'm excited about where we can take it."

We're looking forward to welcoming Keiran into the Mussie family and getting to work on the next chapter of our men's program 🧡🖤

🔸 QPL3 Men's Trials commence next Tuesday 10th - 7:00pm–9:00pm at the Hockey Grass Fields, Keith Hunt Park

Due to the predicted forecast of storms and potentially severe weather, all fields will be closed and all scheduled trials are cancelled for today, Tuesday 3rd November.

The safety of our players, families, coaches and volunteers is our priority. We don't want anyone feeling they need to venture out if conditions become unsafe, so we're taking a precautionary approach.

Please stay safe, keep an eye on the weather and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of severe weather.

Fingers crossed the weather gives us a break and we can get back to doing what we love! 🧡

For tomorrow, remember: No post by 3pm = trials are ON as scheduled!

🧡🖤 DOUBLE THE FIREPOWER. ONE MASSIVE SEASON AHEAD. 🖤🧡

Two absolute weapons. The POWER PAIR! Jayde Lowe and Ursula Hughson are staying in orange for 2027! 🧡 Two huge re-signings who bring quality, determination and a competitive edge to our women’s squad.

With Jason Mancell returning as Head Coach, we’re ready to take on our first-ever QPL2 campaign. A new chapter, a new level and a massive season ahead! 🐎🔥

"After years of success in FQPL3, I’m excited by the challenge posed by new opposition in FQPL2. Applying our brand of football in a new landscape will be a great test for us as individual and a collective. This has been years in the making and I can’t wait to see how far we can go.
We’re incredibly lucky to have Jason at the helm again, and I know the group has full confidence in his leadership and vision."
- Jayde Lowe

"The thing I am most looking forward to would be the new challenge of playing against different teams in a higher division and pushing to see how far we can take this team. Musgrave women’s program under our coach Jason has proven themselves time and time again in QPL3 the last 7 years either being league winners or in the finals and I think with Jason coaching and the quality of players returning for 2027 we will be ready to take on FQLP2."
- Ursula Hughson

From the Coach
“I’m incredibly proud of what this group has achieved, but what excites me most is what lies ahead. Promotion to FQPL2 gives us the opportunity to test ourselves against stronger opposition, and that’s a challenge we’re ready to embrace.
We’ve built our success on hard work, belief in each other and a brand of football we’re proud of. Now it’s time to see just how far that football can take us at the next level.
We haven’t worked this hard just to make up the numbers. We’re here to compete.”
- Jason Mancell

This is a HUGE chapter for Musgrave women’s football, and we’re only getting started!

🧡 JUNIOR TRIALS UPDATE – ANOTHER WEATHER WASHOUT! 🌧️

The sunshine gave it a good crack, but unfortunately, the Legends fields have taken on too much water over the past few days and remain waterlogged. Sadly, junior trials are CANCELLED today.

We’re hoping to return next week, but with this week’s weather disruptions, we may look at extending trials beyond Thursday 12 November. We’ll keep you updated as plans are confirmed.

🧡 JUNIOR TRIALS UPDATE – FIELDS CLOSED 🧡

Those puddles just aren’t going anywhere! 🌧️ Despite our hopes of getting back on the fields soon, recent rainfall has left some significant pools of water across Legends, meaning the grounds aren’t suitable for junior trials.

Unfortunately, today’s session is cancelled, Wednesday, 28th October.

We know it’s frustrating to keep missing sessions, especially when everyone is keen to get out there, but the fields need time to drain before we can safely return. 🐎 We will look into the possibility to extend trials due to these cancellations.

⚽ Looking ahead to tomorrow, we’ll reassess the grounds and post by 3pm only if trials cannot proceed.

No post by 3pm = trials are ON as scheduled!

Thanks for bearing with us, fingers crossed we can get back to football soon!

🧡 FIELDS CLOSED – JUNIOR TRIALS CANCELLED 🧡

Unfortunately, the weather have defeated us once again! 😩🌧️

Due to the ongoing wet conditions and the current state of the Legends fields, junior trials are cancelled for today, Tuesday 27 October.

As much as we're all getting a little tired of these interruptions (trust us, we're right there with you! 😂), player safety has to come first, and the fields simply aren't suitable for use.

🤞 A reminder for tomorrow: We will assess the fields again and only post an update if they are closed.

No post by 3pm = fields open and trials are on! ⚽

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these frustrating conditions. Hopefully, the weather gives us a break soon! 🙏🧡

26/10/2026

🧡🖤 TRIALS CANCELLED – TODAY, MONDAY 26TH OCT🖤🧡

Unfortunately, the Legends fields copped a significant amount of rain overnight and earlier this morning. Despite the sun’s best efforts to dry them out, the fields remain heavily waterlogged and are not suitable to use.

As a result, today’s trials have unfortunately been cancelled.

We’ll reassess the fields again tomorrow and provide an update by 3pm if trials cannot proceed due to weather conditions.

PLEASE NOTE: No post = fields are open and trials are going ahead as scheduled.

We kindly ask that you refrain from messaging Musgrave directly to confirm whether trials are on. We’re unable to respond to multiple individual messages, which is why we follow our wet weather procedures to ensure everyone receives the same information.

Please keep an eye on our page for updates before heading out.

Thanks for your patience and understanding 🧡

🧡 GIRLS DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY PROGRAM – TODAY’S SESSION UPDATE 🧡

Due to the wet weather, today’s session will move indoors for something a little different!

We’ll be joined by a speaker from our senior women’s program to discuss important topics including women’s health, bullying and how we can better support our girls as they grow and develop.

Through group questions and team-bonding activities, we’re creating a safe, supportive environment where our girls can learn, ask questions, build confidence and connect with one another both on and off the field. 🧡

🐴 STILL TIME TO JOIN!

Our program runs every Saturday through to 28 November, and there’s still time to get involved!

The program costs $150, but the first 25 participants receive $100 OFF, making it just $50. A very limited number of discount codes remain!
