Last Saturday, the Labrador Tigerstix took on the 3rd placed Bulimba Bulls at home and unfortunately for the first ¾ of the game it was almost one way traffic as the Bulls ’ambushed’ the Stix and stormed to a 3 nil lead with field goals to Conroy and Francis and an old fashioned stick hit PC which left LHC scrambling. Kalani Franklin hit back for the Stix with a field goal in the 27th minute but the evergreen Cale Kramer slammed home two more penalty corners with the straight hit which left the Stix 5-1 down at ¾ time.
Finn Robinson (PC) and ‘Dan the man’ Evans (FG) soon hit back for the Stix in the 4th quarter to take the score to an almost respectable 5-3 but then another defensive lapse, saw a penalty corner and the Bulls Cabot slamming another PC past the mercurial Max Venables stand in keeper for the Stix and Bulls took the two points with a solid 6-3 win .
