Looks simple… but this exercise is working both legs in very different ways. 🔥
Jen is performing leg and footwork on the Reformer, but with a twist — one foot is on the footbar while the other is balancing on a ball.
The leg on the footbar has to generate the power, control the carriage, and work incredibly hard through the glutes, hamstrings, and quads.
Meanwhile, the leg on the ball is dealing with an unstable surface, forcing the smaller stabilising muscles to switch on and work overtime to maintain alignment and control.
The result? Both legs are working hard, but each is being challenged in a completely different way.
This is one of the reasons we love Pilates. By making small changes to an exercise, we can challenge strength, balance, stability, coordination, and body awareness all at once.
Jen makes it look easy… but trust us, this one burns! 🔥
