Sharpies return to Oyster Fest! 🦪 ⛵️

The SA Sharpies are invited to the Ceduna Sailing Club for the October long weekend - Two days on the water warming up for the start of the season, along with plenty of off water entertainment at the Oyster Fest. A great opportunity to head West and sail on the famous Murat Bay!

2026/27 Season calendar is here!! We’re warming up by heading to Ceduna Sailing Club for Oysterfest, followed by the first round of state heats at ASC. In November our second round is at Largs then head west to Mounts Bay for the Australian Sharpie Nationals. Early next year we’re heading back to Wallaroo for the last leg of state heats. Let’s continue the momentum and make this season one to remember.

The South Australian Sharpie Association acknowledges the passing of long time Sharpie sailor, Terry Carlson. Terry was a friend of many, a true sharpie legend who always made time for a chat. Our condolences go out to Terry’s family and the PLYC. Fair winds and following seas TC ❤️❤️

The South Australian Sharpie Association would like to send its heartfelt condolences to the Port Lincoln Yacht Club community following the passing of Craig Cameron.

Craig was a dedicated sailor and volunteer for his club over many years, and also played a pivotal role in supporting the Sharpie class in a number of our events, as well as the delivery of the most recent nationals in Port Lincoln.

We send our thoughts and love to his wife Megan, and his children Dana and Tyler during this incredibly difficult time.

Even without metro boats heading to Port Lincoln this year for there frostbite regatta, PLYC have managed 8 sharpies on the water! An incredible effort!

On the back of three events last year it’s understandable but we all know frostbite is the best weekend on the calendar. Metro teams you have 1 year to prepare for next year!

Big thank you to all the legends that rocked up to the 2025/26 presentations. About 40 people came to Novar Gardens bowls club and all had a ball.
Congratulations to the winners of sailing and the winners of bowls.
The association put a bbq lunch well cooked by Mitto, then enjoyed the hospitality.
Next stop is frostbite, if the committee can help you in anyway or your looking for a crew let us know!

Let’s all make an effort on Sunday to attend the state presentation night kicking off at 12pm at the Novar gardens bowling club. All welcome to celebrate our youngest ever state champ and all the great things this class achieved last year.

ATTENTION ALL SHARPIE SAILORS, FRIENDS and FAMILY

The 2025-2026 Prize night is upon us. After a massive season holding the Australian Sharpie Nationals at Port Lincoln Yacht Club we have had a little bit of time off.

Now its time to get back together share a beer, a bowl and celebrate our champions. We have all the bowling greens booked, with competitions starting from 12pm.

Please make an effort to join us for a family fun afternoon, Flipper is recommended until told otherwise.

When - 17th May

Time - 12pm for a 2pm Presso
Cash Bar open to clench thirst
