Let’s go Ky Mitchell Racing 🇦🇺🐕

The Aussies got the job done, but nerves were jangling!

Congrats to Cooper Antone Racing and Nate Smith - NSR #22, who progressed through to the final of the 2026 FIM SGP3 Speedway World Championship after finishing seventh and eighth in their semi-final in Czechia on June 16.

But it was tense, with a run-off required to secure the last two spots after Cooper and Nate finished on the same amount of points as Brit Oliver Bovingdon.

The lads from Down Under held their nerve to finish first and second in the run-off to guarantee places in the June 19 final. The other riders to progress were Marek Ziman, Elias Jamil Jensen, Brady Landon, Andzejs Smulkevics, Arsenii Mykulchyn and Oskar Winczewski.

Tonight it’s semi-final 2 at the same venue and Ky Mitchell's turn to test his wares against more top-shelf U16 speedway talent from around the world. All the best Ky!

🔥 The Hyne/Taylor Shield will see the Top 12 Junior 250cc riders go head-to-head in a thrilling 6-lap feature race around the speedway track.

🏁 Stationary start behind the tapes.

🏁 One shield. One winner.

With bragging rights, pride and history on the line, expect elbows up, throttle pinned and six laps of edge-of-your-seat racing as the next generation chases glory.
