Another sponsor shout out but this one is a little bittersweet. Our very loyal, long time sponsor and friend Peter Wash for Murray Plains will be retiring at this election which means this is his last official Gunny race day!!

Peter has always been a fantastic advocate for country racing and especially our little club. He is always championing the importance of events such as ours for our communities. His beautiful wife Liz is also one of our fashions judges and we love her!

Thank you Peter and Liz for always being in our corner.

We won't let them off lightly though don't worry. We'll make sure they're back next year for some fun and frivolity and maybe even put them both to work!

A couple of little reminders about our bus service.

There will be no tickets issued for the bus simply arrive at your pick up location 15 minutes before your allocated time and give the bus driver your name and number of people in your party.

Please note – buses leave the race course from 6pm for the return trip. There will be no announcements made over the PA simply make your way to the bus area before 6pm.

We welcome back Ritchies IGA Cohuna as race sponsors. Ritchies do an amazing job supplying us with our drinks for race day and catering for all our different tastes.

Trust us, they certainly have their work cut out this year - if our bookings are anything to go by you lot are going to be a thirsty bunch. Poor Georgie has quite the job keeping up with our requests!

We’ve given Gav the weekend to recover from the scrambling on Thursday to find more umbrellas so while he’s not answering his phone we’ll let you know there are only 9 Party Central Umbrellas remaining. Once these are gone that’s it, there will be no more added as we have cleaned out Echuca and Bendigo !

This Party Central area will be going off on race day. Lots of footy and netty trips and a few hens & bucks parties thrown in there. Great view of the track, public bar close bar, so close to Darcy Ramage live music you can even dance at your table is you so wish!
