A massive DAY 1 of the Central Coast Rugby Union Grand Finals Weekend at !🌴🤩

From the first whistle to the final celebrations, there were plenty of big moments across the five today, with the Ourimbah Razorbacks winning the Premier One Championship 27-20 over Avoca Beach 🏆. . . and there’s still plenty more to come tomorrow!🔥

Hearty congratulations to all of today's champions👑 and well done to every one who took the field and gave it their all. 👏

Central Coast to Shine as Co-Host of Landmark 2027 Australian Masters Games 🙌🌴

The countdown to the 2027 Australian Masters Games is underway on the Central Coast, with Council representatives, Games organisers and local sporting leaders coming together to launch the event at polytec Stadium.

The Central Coast will join Newcastle in co-hosting the 21st Australian Masters Games from 13–20 November 2027. Thousands of participants, supporters and volunteers will visit the two regions during the week-long event.

The 2027 Games will mark the 40th anniversary of the biannual Australian Masters Games and its return to NSW for the first time in more than 25 years, with athletes to compete in as many as 40 sports.

Masters athletes are generally aged above 30 years of age, although the event defers to individual National Sporting Organisations for specific sports like gymnastics. No qualification standards are required for most sports.

Polytec Stadium – the Home of Sport, Entertainment and Community Events on the Central Coast – will serve as the Athletes’ Hub on the Central; Coast and will also host the Closing Ceremony.

Central Coast Council Mayor Lawrie McKinna said the launch of the Australian Masters Games marks the beginning of an exciting journey for the region.

"We're delighted to partner with the City of Newcastle to bring the Australian Masters Games to the Central Coast and welcome competitors and supporters from across the country," Mayor McKinna said.

"The Games will generate economic activity for local businesses and provide a fantastic opportunity to highlight our great facilities, attractions and the welcoming spirit of our community."

A cracking night of NRLW on the Coast!🤩

The Sydney Roosters NRLW lit up 🌴, their home away from home, with a commanding 46-6 victory over the in their Indigenous Round clash.🔥

From the opening whistle to the final siren, the put on a show with plenty of tries, conversions and celebrations for the local crowd who turned out to support the girls.❤️💙

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the wet weather conditions to help celebrate the NRLW Indigenous Round and enjoy another fantastic evening of top-flight women's rugby league on the Central Coast.🙌

Welcome home Jocelyn Kelleher! Roosters 🐓 v Eels 🪱 this Sunday.

It has been a big week for women in sport on the Central Coast.
On Tuesday, it was confirmed that the Central Coast Mariners women’s team has been saved and will play in this season’s Ninja A-League women’s football premiership.

This Sunday, one of our own, NRLW superstar Jocelyn Kelleher returns to her home town of Gosford with the Sydney Roosters NRLW team as they take on Parramatta Eels in a Round 6 Indigenous Round blockbuster at polytec Stadium. 🌴

Joce is well known on the CC for her sporting prowess and last week became the first player to break the 300-points barrier in the NRLW.

Come out and cheer on Joce and the Roosters, with the Central Coast Roosters providing a vital pathway for the NRLW club and with plenty of local support.
