Meet Marcel 🏃

🚨 Athlete of the month 🚨
At 15 years old and wise beyond his years. He’s run 10 mins for 3km. Fields the triathlon series each summer and wins his category regularly. A member of the 🟡⚫️

But what makes Marcel our athlete from May is the fact that he does this all while balancing school, gives his best effort in every session and is a great team member while supporting everyone else in the group 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Great tune up session today with some hills sprints across from Ballam park in Frankston.
Next Saturday is the Cruden Farm cross country race for round 4 of the season.

Well done to everyone who ran.
Today was up to 15 x 200m hills with jog down recovery on a 2min cycle.

Tomorrow we hit up Albert park on the road for some race pace efforts in our long run 🏃

👏 Huge congratulations to our speedy kids who have been tearing up the track, roads and cross country circuits this past month. This includes many representing Victoria at nationals last month or even just school events 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

📊 Our Tuesday sessions have been very speed focused and Thursdays have been very cross country focused this past month or so and we’re starting to really see the impact as racing season progresses.

⚡️Well done Casey, Isla, Mi Mi, Winter, Rueben, Jack, Liam, Harry, Tiao, Winter, Alisha, Charlotte, Dilan, Kate, Georgie, Georgia, Denzel, Teagan, Yenaya, Felix, Alex, Xavier, , Humphrey, Ned, George, Sion who have represented with grace and respect for other runners.

🍽️ 😋 Hey everyone. For those doing Gold Coast marathon festival this year.
We have a table booked for Sunday 5th July at 5:30pm but feel free to arrive from 5pm.

It’s Kuwarra surf club in Broadbeach. And don’t forget to bring your bling from the weekend 🏅
Booking is for 20 people but I will need to confirm numbers ahead of time.
If you could let me know if you’re coming (families and partners and non members welcome), please let me know by June 15th.

This Sundays group run is at lysterfield park.
Meet at 7:50 for an 8am start at the lower car park to the right of the toilets and boat launching pier.

This is a fairly easy loop for Lysterfield park.
The run starts with a 6km loop of the lake with the option to extend longer if you like. Although there are a some rolling hills, this course is appropriate for those racing next week while your legs will be off road. And for your efforts, you’ll be rewarded with some spectacular views and more kangaroo’s than you can count.

All friends and family are welcome to join.
Coffee afterwards at the Stellas Kitchen for coffee from 9:45am onwards til 10:30am.
