Today we had our weekly Sunday group run.
We ran from the Edithvale Velodrome and headed north up towards Mordialloc.
Some turned early, some later.
We had a group meet up afterwards at the Edithvale General Store for food and drinks to round out our week of training.
And with good thinking by Lee Edwards to help make this a special run for Virendra Vijay Singh 50th birthday this week, we came out in numbers to celebrate. We even had about 10 members who didn’t run come to help celebrate 🥳

And this run was proudly sponsored by Active Locals who helped pay $5 for every member who registered for our run via their app.

There were many great results this weekend. From Aths Vic Tan Relays, park run, surf coast century, puffing Billy Amy’s Gran Fondo and Connor’s run. We covered a lot of ground this weekend. Results to come later.

Our Group run next week is Sunday 7:45 for an 8am start at Edithvale velodrome car park.

Well done to all our athletes who competed over the weekend.

With so many events on the calendar it’s hard to choose an event.
But as always, our athletes find a way to lace up for various events to keep fit, constantly test ourselves and if lucky, get a new PB.

We were lucky enough to have had Ky Wynne (DPT, BExSci) from Athlete's Edge Physiotherapy present some of the latest research in injury and load management.

There were some real gems in there and hopefully we can keep these going on a semi regular basis at the Caulfield clinic.

It’s a beauty and the team there are leading the way with some great initiatives and upcoming workshops as well.

These should be a must do for anyone looking to learn more and prevent injuries from being more than a few days at a time rather than weeks or months when not managed correctly.
