Some people teach us to ride a bike.
Some teach us to kick a footy.
And some learn the difference between a tendu, a plié and a costume change. 😂

To the dads, grandads, stepdads, bonus dads and father figures who become chauffeurs, costume carriers, hair-fixers, snack providers, backstage helpers and professional applause-givers…

To the people who spend their weekends at rehearsals, learn the choreography from the audience, and somehow always have *one more* thing to carry.

Whether you’re a dad, a grandad, a father figure, or simply one of the people who shows up and cheers a dancer on — we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re so grateful you’re part of our Kindred community. 💙

✨️ Our very first Kindred soloists! ✨️

We are so proud of these two dancers, who took to the stage as Kindred Dance Collective's very first solo competitors!

Both of you performed beautifully and represented Kindred with confidence, courage and professionalism 💛

A special congratulations to Verity, who received 2nd place for her Tap solo - what an amazing achievement! 🥈👏

And a huge well done to Sienna for a wonderful performance of her Jazz solo. 💥

Such a special little milestone for our studio - well done girls, we can't wait to watch you both continue to blossom!

Do you agree that dance studios/dance lessons should be eligible for the government's Play On! sports vouchers which provide Queensland kids aged 5-17yrs with up to $200 to help cover sports and active recreation fees?? This is something we at Kindred are advocating and fighting for, and for some reason even though 'dance' is listed as an eligible sport, dance studios are being declined from the program as the government doesn't recognise us as accredited (this is despite the rigorous policies and procedures we follow!) Please use your voice to tell the Qld Government how important dance is as a sport that Queensland children are engaged in every week! It's good for the body, and good for the soul, and we deserve the same recognition! Please consider completing this survey below. Let's make some change together! Thank you Ausdance Queensland for giving us this platform to raise our voices 🙌
