Caxton Athletic FC is a social, amateur football club with players of average to below-average footballing ability who play in the Queensland Independent Football League's lowest division.

Hey guys I attended the QIF (commercial league football) team managers meeting yesterday. Here is the summary of the meeting:

- Game halves have been reduced by 5 mins to 40 mins (80 minute game). This will lead to a small decrease in referee fees.
- QIF is merging with other social leagues in the future due to the decline in team numbers. Sunday will stay the same for this year.
- The season will start 8th April.
- Season will be finished much faster this year. Due to complaints from teams last year.
- League will not be split like last year. Due to complaints from teams last year.
- Finals will be top 4.
- Players will need to registrar football federation Australia (ffa) to play. It will cost 15 dollars per player. We will also get some kind of insurance. More information to come in regards to this so don’t stress. We will have access some cool ffa web stuff.
- QUT teams have gone to metro league.
- 8 teams have registered already for Sunday league.

Gentlemen, time for rego payments ($300 per person) to start rolling in. We need to pay the league, buy some gear for training and then pay for training and the match pitch. And jerseys if we can. The payment also includes referee's fees all season.

Payment needs to be made prior to the first match to play. If payment can't be made, speak to the treasurer (Bec's details below) and arrange a payment plan. Put your surname and first initial (ie D HEAD or HEAD D) as the bank reference. Details can be found by emailing Bec at [email protected].

For the second time in our long history Caxton Athletic are into the Grand Final.
1 Archerfield Rd Darra Sunday 2nd October 9:30 kickoff.

We encourage all our fans to come clad in green and red and create an electric atmosphere and be the 12th man. Sambo will be leading a rousing rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone pre game as well.

Stay for a beer and sausage after
