Cowra Junior Rugby League Cowra Junior Rugby League is a family focused club supporting kids from Under 6s to Under 16s.

We’re all about fun, teamwork & creating a sense of community where players grow their skills, make lifelong friends & build confidence on and off the field 🏈 At present Cowra Junior Rugby League runs its own Saturday morning competition, fielding 14 teams in 3 age groups. Our representative sides compete well in all carnivals they attend, usually finishing among the top 3. Not to forget our U11's through to U16's which compete, in the Group 10 competition.

📣 Friendly Reminder to All Spectators at River Park & Sid Kallas Oval

As we continue to support our Junior Magpies and visiting teams, we want to remind everyone of our zero-tolerance policy on abuse towards match officials.

This aligns with the NRL Code of Conduct, which expects all players, coaches, and spectators to show respect at all times.

🟢 Please note: When you see players wearing green socks, this indicates they are Under 18s. These are young people learning the game, and they deserve a positive, supportive environment.

✅ Cheer loudly
✅ Support positively
❌ Do NOT engage in abuse, criticism, or negative behaviour toward referees or official.

Let’s work together to create a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone involved in the game.

ROAD TRIP TIME!

A few of our Under 11 Magpies hit the road early this afternoon, making their way to Mudgee ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Making the most of the trip with some extra time together, creating memories, building friendships, and strengthening the team bond that makes junior footy so special.

This is what footy is all about, not just the games on the field, but the experiences, mateship, and moments shared along the way.

Referee Recognition 😗

A huge congratulations to our young Magpie referees who continue to represent their clubs with pride across the region.

😗 Angus and George were selected to officiate at the Country Cup Under 14s Female Tackle competition in Bathurst today.

😗 Nate and Lachie have spent the past three days in Parkes refereeing at the NSW PSSA Under 12 State Championships.

🌟 A special shout-out to Nate Gunn, who was selected to referee the Grand Final – an outstanding achievement and a testament to his hard work, dedication and ability.

As a club, we are incredibly proud of all four boys and the commitment they continue to show to the game. Opportunities like these don’t happen by chance and are the result of learning, developing and giving back to rugby league.

Congratulations boys!

A huge congratulations to Magpie junior Cameron Bamblett, who has been selected to represent NSW Under 19s tonight as they take on Queensland in the annual State of Origin clash.

Cameron’s journey from junior rugby league to the representative arena is a testament to his talent, hard work and dedication to the game. He continues to be an outstanding role model for our young Magpies and proof that dreams can become reality with commitment and perseverance.

The entire Magpie family will be cheering you on tonight, Camo. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and can’t wait to watch you pull on the sky blue jersey.

A huge shout-out to Jai Taylor, who is away this week in Parkes representing Western at the PSSA Rugby League Carnival.
