🎉 GREAT NEWS – COOLAMON TOUCH FOOTBALL UPDATE 🎉

We are excited to share that we have now secured enough committee members to meet our governance requirements and continue planning for the 2026/2027 season! 👏💚🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who reached out, shared our posts, volunteered and supported the Club over recent weeks. Community support has once again shown what makes Coolamon Touch Football so special.

Our committee will meet this week to discuss the upcoming season and competition structure, with further updates to be provided following that meeting.

While our committee positions have now been filled, there are still plenty of opportunities for people to get involved.

Alongside the committee, we have a volunteer support group that assists with specific tasks throughout the season. These volunteers do not need to sit on the committee or attend meetings, but play an important role in helping our competitions run smoothly.

We are still looking for people who may be interested in assisting with:
📱 MySideline administration
📣 Social media & communications
⏱️ General game night assistance (eg timekeeping)
🍔 Canteen operations
👕 Merchandise
💰 Fundraising & sponsorship

There are also opportunities to help as:
🏉 Team Managers
🙌 Team and player support volunteers

Many hands make light work, and even helping with one small task can make a big difference.

📣 VOLUNTEER UPDATE – COOLAMON TOUCH FOOTBALL 💚🤍

Great news — we have had another volunteer put their hand up, taking us to 4 committee members 👏

We are getting closer, however we still require 2 more volunteers willing to join the committee to meet governance requirements and allow competitions to proceed in 2026.

Being on the committee does not mean taking on a full coordinator role. You can simply help with things such as:
🏉 Game night set up / pack up
⏱️ Timing or operational support
💬 General admin or communications support
📋 Supporting smaller tasks throughout the season

The committee only meets approximately 4 times per year (with 2 meetings already completed this year).

📧 An email has been sent to all 2025/26 members with further information.

📅 Volunteers and committee members are needed by 31 May 2026 to allow planning to commence in June ahead of registrations opening in July.

If you can help in any way, please consider putting your hand up — we would love to keep our competition going for our local children, families and community.

🔔 IMPORTANT INFO – COOLAMON TOUCH FOOTBALL 🔔

Following recent meetings regarding Coolamon Touch Football, unfortunately a full committee structure has not yet been secured for 2026.

At this stage, we only have 3 active committee members and require at least 3 additional active committee members to meet governance requirements and allow competitions to proceed in 2026.

If these committee positions are not filled, there is a risk that no competitions will be able to operate in 2026.

Coordinator and volunteer support is also still required across a number of operational areas.

Based on the current active volunteers/committee members, the proposed direction for the 2026 season is a junior-only competition (U8–U14).

📧 An email has been sent to all 2025/26 members with further information regarding the current position, proposed competition structure and volunteer requirements.

📣 Reminder – Coolamon Touch Football Meeting Tonight

🗓 Tonight – Monday 11 May
⏰ 6.30pm
📍 Coolamon Sport & Recreation Club

We’re finalising planning for the 2026 season and still looking to fill a few important coordinator and volunteer roles.

⚠️ Without support in some key areas, parts of the competition including youth, senior and representative programs may be at risk this season.

We know everyone is busy — but if a few people step up, the workload becomes manageable and shared across the group 💚

Whether you can take on a role, help with a smaller task, or simply want to hear more about the plans for next season, we’d love to see you there tonight.

🙌 Our club simply can’t run without volunteers and community support.

Please come along, have a chat and help shape the 2026 season.
