Tonight’s post is shared with sincere hearts, reaching out to our members, guests, and friends from our club and the wider shooting community.
As many of you already know, our long-term and much-loved member, Mick Reed, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and has been receiving treatment at St Vincent’s Hospital since early December.
We have previously shared Mick’s GoFundMe page, and we are incredibly grateful for the support already shown.
However, it has since come to our attention that the Reed family is continuing to face significant financial strain. Kristy has been travelling back and forth to Sydney to be by Mick’s side, covering accommodation, travel, and day-to-day living expenses. With their household now relying on a single income, things are understandably very tight.
Our club will be making a direct contribution to support Mick and his family and we warmly invite any members, guests, or friends who are able and willing to help do the same.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference to this beautiful family during an incredibly challenging time.
Mick’s treatment is expected to continue through to at least the end of June, which will mean extended time away from work and ongoing travel to Sydney.
