Two stories. One club. 💙💛♥️🖤
Every member has a different reason for pulling on the club kit. Some have been racing for decades. Others are just finding their way back. That’s what makes our community so special.
🏅 Meet Ron...
Ron has been competing in triathlons and duathlons for 46 years, completing an incredible 542 races along the way.
A Life Member of The Hills Tri Club, which he helped establish more than 30 years ago, Ron joined Noosa Tri Club after moving to Noosa nine years ago to stay connected with the sport he loves.
His achievements include podium finishes at World Championships, and he completed his most recent Ironman at 75 years of age—exactly 40 years after his very first Ironman in Kona.
This season he’s chasing more adventures with the National Duathlon Championships, Port Macquarie 70.3, and, of course, Noosa Tri.
Then there’s Paul...
After spending nearly a year sidelined through injury and a few frustrating false starts, Paul is finally making his way back.
His membership is renewed, the new club kit is on its way, races are starting to appear on the calendar, and the Garmin metrics are (hopefully!) heading in the right direction.
His goal? In his own words:
“To be one of the turtles 🐢 trying to turn into a rabbit 🐇.”
It’s a reminder that every comeback starts somewhere. Showing up to that first swim session or rolling out for that first group ride after time away is often the hardest step.
Whether you’ve raced 500+ events, you’re chasing another podium, or you’re simply working your way back after injury, there’s a place for you at Noosa Tri Club.
Here’s to celebrating every finish line—and every fresh start. 💙💛♥️🖤
