And that’s a wrap of the for 2022.

Congratulations to CAS 1 who took out the win - and . Special mentions go to Matty Rose setting a superb ride split!

And of course and not too far behind. Mitch and Jamie taking out the leg victories for both the swim and run.

Like at the end of every year….should we do the individual next year???? Hmmmm let’s wait to the smell of Nate’s deep heat subsides and we come back to our senses.

Also shout out to our socials and photo magicians and .photography for their efforts.

STAY CORNY - thanks for letting us clog your Sunday Instagram stories - see u in 350 days for when 2023 training starts

They said I couldn’t write an overly dramatic and inspirational caption for Corn Appreciation Society (Brisbanes premier amateur triathlon team) for the umpteenth year in a row. Unfortunately for you (the reader), they were wrong.

Every year, the semi-amphibious Harry Bates seems to further maximise the number of beers drunk in preparation, and minimise the number of minutes between arriving in Noosa and starting his swim.

There’s no doubting that it all comes down to the cycle if these cobbers are going to prove victorious, and they have rightfully placed their faith and trust in the Honourable Matty Rose. This year, he’s one Wahoo trainer richer, completed at least twice as many Riverloops, and is very focused on not cramping.

Alex Russell, resident runner, has opted to focus on strategy this year in order to try triumph over The Corn Appreciation Society in the head to head battle. The key points of the strategy (without giving away our secrets) involve finishing each leg of the race faster than the opposing team (and not slower).

Slap a 20 down on your local favourites (admittedly with not very good odds) and as always, Stay Corny 🌽🌽

🚨🚨ATTENTION: BLOOD AND GORE WARNING 🚨🚨 CAS training has rudely been interrupted by a local St Lucia magpie attacking one of our dedicated cyclists while on a classic “River loop” ride. We urge all CASanovas to take the utmost care and suggest affixing your helmet with proven avian deterrents (corn cobs, pictured in image 3). We hope that magpies decide not to make the trek north for race day on Sunday. As always, Stay Tuned 📺 Stay Corny 🌽

- not everyone has to like 🌽 to be the best (Political?) PROVIDED 🌽 has been tried (with and without butter)
- lava monster ❌ mostly corn ✅
- 🌽 is AWESOME
- 🌽 is big lump with k***s 😉
- 🌽 prices are WAY too high (people have spoken big corn)
- and have a CORNTASTIC day COBBAS 🌽 ❤️
