The Charlton Harness Racing Club was so saddened to hear of the recent passing of member Carmel Fitzpatrick.
Carmel was an integral part of the Charlton community, involved in many clubs and was much loved by all.
She left a lasting legacy at the netball club in particular being involved in all facets of the sport, proudly wearing the Charlton colours for many years.
She always said on buying her raffle tickets ‘ Everybody has to do their bit” and she certainly did that.
The Charlton Harness Racing Club extends its condolences to Brian, Chris and all of the extended Fitzpatrick family - she will be greatly missed.

Well done to the Tormey Stable winning at Headquarters on Saturday night with King Saint. Gathering regular winners throughout this year !👏👏👏

Various Charlton stables made the trek to Bendigo tonight ☔️🌧️💧braving the wet. Congratulations to Connor Clarke who is continuing on his winning way with Zoom Zoom Boom. There’s no stopping him at the moment!!💪💪

Winners all round for Charlton over last few days.🧢
Karbine for John Tormey at Bendigo on Wednesday
And today at Mildura a training double for Mick Gadsden with No Emotion and Hungry Hogarth. With a bit of help from driver Luke Dunne!!
And not to be left out Connor Clarke completed the Charlton set winning aboard Our Master Play for the Vozlic stable.

Great few days at Rich River for all the Country Clubs. Thanks to Tim, Paul and team from TCV for all the organisation which allowed everyone to get together, network and socialise. Thanks to HRV - Bernard, Judy and Dennis and Matt and Glenn who clearly outlined a way forward for clubs. Also to the supporting crew from HRV who were so approachable and were prepared to listen and offer help🙏
Finally to Tim O’Connor who professionally kept everything together despite ALSO being last man standing on Sunday night 😂⭐️
Lovely to meet Terry Daniher who of course knew people from Charlton!!
Finally congratulations to all award winners from clubs far and wide and to our own Charlton Club who took out Best Presented Track or Venue. All credit was given to Wes and Kye Jenkyn who continue to keep our course surroundings in pristine condition for every race meeting. Amazing. Along with our energetic Committee and members who pitch in and see the value in presenting a well cared for venue for participants and visitors.
And to our dedicated track team ably led by Laurie Mul and supported by Grub and Woozer- few if any better prepared tracks in the state.

Thank you to all the Djaara People who visited us yesterday for their annual Cup Day. Special thanks to Jason Kerr for his lovely words about how important this relationship is with our club and the town of Charlton. Simple but powerful messages of respect and connection which resonated with all.
Congratulations to Aaron Dunne owner, trainer , breeder and driver of Hellava Deal who took out the cup for the second time.
And what a day to witness the great comeback in the cart of Zac Steenhuis! Must have been all that yelling by both driver and spectators but credit to the front running drive which paid off! 👏👏Congratulations Zac and Gavan and the aptly named No Shenaniganz.
Thanks again to Juppy our resident bookie 👍 it makes such a difference to have this service on course.
Nice to finish off the day with those at the bar and to celebrate Connor’s birthday 🎂
