Huge thankyou to all organisers, helpers, players and most importantly sponsors for a fantastic open weekend!

The weather turned it on this weekend for the Ceduna Foreshore Hotel Golf Open as we saw 27 players take part in the 2man ambrose competition on Saturday and 29 players challenging for the Open on Sunday!

In the A Grade we had Josh Seidl take out the Open with 75 just ahead of Dion Hissey with 76

B Grade was taken out by Life Member Ian McKenzie with 83 ahead of Barry Thompson on 86

C grade was taken out by Smoky Bays Ian Beattie with an incredible score of 81, 15 shots clear of the runner up John Duncan from Wirrulla with 96

Teams event was taken out by Ian McKenzie, Barry Thompson and John Duncan on count back with 222 total strokes

Veterens prize was won by Ian Mckenzie

Congratulations to all our Open winners!!

On Saturday the 2man ambrose was taken out by our only group of 3 due to odd numbers with the winners being Lance McWaters, Andrew Atkinson and Kade Pittaway.

As well as the golf competitions we also had our major raffle for the weekend with some truly fantastic prizes from Ceduna Camping & Fishing:

What threatend to be a day of wild weather turned into a pretty decent day as 19 players took part in a stableford competition

35 points was enough to get the job done with Jamie Davies edging out Ken McCarthy on a count back

The real highlight of the day was thanks to Dion Hissey as he let fly a perfect tee shot on 17 that found its was to the bottom of the cup for the first hole in one at the club since 2020!!
Massive congrats Bingo, an outstanding achievement!

Another solid round of golf in the books yeaterday with 19 players teeing it up.

It was an outstanding effort in trying conditions that saw Josh Seidl take out the top spot with 42 points over Yianni Kozminski with a very solid 38 points!

With both qualifying rounds now complete the Handicap Matchplay final will held on 21/6/26 between Josh Seidl (73 points) and Don Seneca (69 points)
Congratulations and good luck to both players.

What a busy weekend that was,
On friday we hosted the annual chasing the sun 9 hole ambrose day competition for all those who are travelling as part of the nullarbor links tour.
Early saturday we hosted the sunrise breakfast for those on the tour to come and fuel up on bacon and eggs before enjoying what was a beautiful sunrise followed by the kick off of the Nullarbor links tour! Huge thankyou to Barry Thompson who organised the days and to all his helpers that cooked, cleaned and made the touring party feel welcome over the couple of days.

On sunday we were back to regular schedule golf with a Stableford competiton in perfect weather!
There were lots of good scores coming out of the day with Rafe Palmer narrowly edging out Ken McCarthy in a count back with both players carding 37 points

Congrats to Dion Hissey for taking home the Ceduna Foodland Meat tray this week!

Next weekend is the 2nd Qualifying round for the handicap matchplay competition so make sure you are there ✌️
