Pelican Waters Caloundra Swimming Club operates from Caloundra Aquatic Centre. Fun Fitness and Friends form the foundations for excellence in swimming.

The Caloundra Swimming Club was established in 1968. It is one of the oldest and most established swimming clubs on the sunshine coast. The club is home to elite level members achieving Olympic, commonwealth and national level swimming. We also run fun club nights to encourage fun and fitness while developing the love of swimming for our junior members. We are a family club who love all aspects of swimming in a supportive team environment.

🌊 2026 Brisbane Open Water Championships 🌊

Four Pelicans took on the challenge of the 5km Open Water distance, and we’d like to congratulate all four boys on an awesome effort! 🏊‍♂️

Huge congrats to Molly, who competed at the South Australia Short Course State Championships as part of Swimming Queensland’s LA Dreaming Program!

Molly had an awesome meet, finishing with:

🥇 800m Freestyle – 1st
🥈 200m Freestyle – 2nd
🥉 100m Freestyle – 3rd
🥉 400m Freestyle – 3rd
🏅 100m Butterfly – 4th

Throwback to Jess & Indigo

Going all the way back 7 years ago! 🥹

One thing we absolutely love seeing is that, even after 7 years, our swimmers are still here — whether they’ve stayed with us or found their way back. They’re still swimming, still improving, still learning, and getting better every day! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

And now, 7 years later, both Jess & Indigo are proudly part of our Gold Squad!

What an incredible journey it has been so far — and we can’t wait to see what the next few years bring! 😊

A Week of Swimming, Friendship & Fun

PWC swimmers had the absolute honour of welcoming a selection of swimmers from New Caledonia to our pool for a week following the QLD Short Course Championships.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our PWC and Caledonian swimmers to train, have fun and create new friendships together each afternoon. 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

This morning was the final training session together, and what better way to finish the week than with a pancake breakfast! 🥞

A huge thank you to our friends from New Caledonia for sharing the pool, the laughs and the memories with us. We hope you’ve enjoyed your time at PWC as much as we have!

🏊‍♂️ 2026 QLD S.C. CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏊‍♀️

What an incredible four days of racing for our 33 Pelicans swimmers at the 2026 QLD Short Course Championships!

We are extremely proud of these swimmers achieved. Across the meet, there were numerous Top 10 finishes, personal bests, and outstanding performances in the pool.

🥉 Molly Bawden — 2x Bronze Medals
🥉 Stellan Vella — 1x Bronze Medal

A massive thank you to our coaches Theo, Tyson, Fiona and Ishani for their incredible dedication and support throughout the championships.

From mornings to afternoons on pool deck, your commitment to our swimmers does not go unnoticed — we truly appreciate everything you do. 👏

The weekend was a fantastic reflection of what it means to be a Pelican — pushing ourselves, racing with determination, learning from every swim, and most importantly, supporting one another every step of the way.

We couldn’t be prouder of this group!
