Calamvale parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards that takes place every Saturday at 7am at Calamvale District Park, Formby Street, Calamvale situated approx 18 km south-west of Brisbane’s CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers

an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Calamvale parkrun is supported by the Brisbane City Council Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Fund.

It’s been an absolute pleasure dusting off my old camera and getting back behind the lens. I’m certainly no professional photographer, and the old camera had a few struggles keeping up with all you speedy runners! 😂⚡📸 But it was such a beautiful morning, and I really enjoyed being able to capture a little piece of it.

📸 Calamvale parkrun photos are here! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Apologies for the delay in getting the photos up this morning — I somehow managed to misplace the camera cable! 🤦‍♀️ Thankfully, I eventually tracked down a way to get the photos off the camera.

A little disclaimer: I am definitely not a professional photographer or an expert! 😂 I’m just someone who enjoys taking photos and was very happy to dust off this old camera and have some fun capturing your morning.

And speaking of the camera… it is old. 😂 It seems to have developed a bit of a blur, and I had it set to “speed demon” mode — which turns out to be no match for just how super-lightning-fast some of you runners are! ⚡📸

I’ll be posting the photos in blocks of 80, so keep an eye out as they make their way onto the page. There are quite a few to get through! 📷

Despite the occasional blurry photo (and the camera doing its very best to keep up), I hope you enjoy looking through the photos as much as I enjoyed getting back behind the lens.

It was such a glorious morning for a run, and it was a real pleasure to capture a little bit of everyone’s Saturday morning at Calamvale parkrun. ☀️💙
