Team announcement.
Due to a multiple set of circumstances, some good and some disappointing, 51NQ Racing Team WILL NOT be competing for the NQ Sprintcar championship at Cairns and Mareeba this season. On the good side, our regular driver for the last 3 1/2 seasons, Brodie Davis, is unable to commit due to his incredible opportunity in the Q16 410 Sprintcar base in Brisbane. Brodie is also in the closing year of his University degree in Brisbane.
We wish Brodie success in both his racing and professional life. We have had an incredible run with Brodie winning Multiple feature races, truly dominating local events. Brodie is such a talented driver and will be hard to replace.
Our Clayton’s (fill in driver) Darren Mollenoyux will be focusing on his son Jacob’s #10 junior sedan crew chief duties, making it difficult to commit to the Sprintcar. Thank you Darren.
Team boss Leigh Holman has recently retired from his business of 41 years, SVS Auto and Dyno, and now has time to relax and contemplate the future. In Leigh’s words regarding the 51NQ, “Last year was bitter sweet “ with amazing results, but also with the accusations of “cheating”. Since completely exonerated.
As the saying goes, “If they’re winning by that much and that often, they must be cheating”.
If only people would recognise that our team is 100% dedicated, has a wealth of experience and an incredible driver. Thats why we are winners. I understand the jealousy.
Side note.. Brodies dad Scott Davis has been an integral part of our team success. Scotty has recently spent time in hospital in excruciating pain with an unknown condition which is still somewhat of a mystery. I’m sure the doctors will get to the bottom of the problem and Scott will be back to good health soon.
We are all thinking of you Scotty. 🙏
This isn’t necessarily the end for NQ51 as we are considering options for an occasional appearance later this season and in the future.
Huge thank you to all of our amazing Sponsors, fans and supporters. We couldn’t do it without you.
