Hi AAT members,

What a fantastic start to Term 2! It’s been awesome seeing so many fresh faces out on the courts, the energy has been great. A big thank you to everyone who got behind the “bring a friend to tennis” initiative. We all know how fun tennis can be, and it’s been brilliant seeing our students spreading the word and taking pride in what they do.

At the end of last term, I set our students a challenge.. could you guess my four favourite tennis players? (Two retired, two still playing… no pressure!). It was great seeing so many families getting involved and having a crack. The answers were: Ash Barty, Roger Federer, Carlos Alcaraz, and Mirra Andreeva. We had two winners who got 3 out of 4 correct. Congratulations to Hayden & Gabrielle - very impressive! Clearly, I’m not as mysterious as I think haha

A few of our juniors have also been invited to take part in our United Cup on the 30th of June. It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience match play on a full court and get a real taste of competition. Please see attached flyer.

CONGRATULATIONS BUNYIP TC🎾🎾

On Wednesday night, a large crowd was treated to two cracking Grand Finals in the WGTA Wednesday Night Comp and we had teams playing in both the Section 1 and Section 2 finals.

Both matches were closely fought, with some quality tennis and just a few games between the teams 🎾

Congratulations to Pakenham Purple who defeated Bunyip in the Section 1 Grand Final. 🏆

And congratulations to our section 2 team who defeated Lang Lang in the Section 2 Grand Final.🏆

Thanks to Drouin Tennis Club Inc for hosting the finals, and a huge thank you to Gordy for organising a great competition ☺️

🎾 That time of the season is here! 🎾

It’s time to check in, look ahead, and start shaping an awesome winter tennis season together.

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be chatting with players and families to plan for next season. Start thinking about what you’d love your winter tennis to look like - your goals, availability, and preferences. I’ll do my best to accommodate everyone and build teams that are fun, competitive, and rewarding.

Here’s a snapshot of what we’re planning:
