Boondall Figure Ice Skating Club (BFISC) has been supporting and developing its skaters since 1995. Our home rink is located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane at Iceworld Olympic Ice Rink, 2304 Sandgate Rd, Boondall Qld, 4034. We are affiliated with Ice Skating Queensland which is the governing body for figure skating in Queensland and our members range from Aussie Skate levels through to Junior and Senior levels in figure skating, ice dance and pairs. Many of our skaters have reached levels qualifying them to represent Queensland and Australia in National and International competition. Other skaters have also gone on to pursue careers with International Ice shows including Disney On Ice and Holiday On Ice. Some of our skaters have also been chosen to participate in performances such as The Andrei Rieu Concert Tour in Australia. The club conducts a variety of skating development programs to continually stimulate and improve skaters skills and interests. Regular social events and fundraising are held to bring members and their families together. We trust all members will use this page responsibly. There are to be no 'Negative comments in regards to any other Members. Any person breeching this responsibility will have their comments deleted and be blocked from using the site. Before you start your entry, make sure you have the following ready:

• PPC details
• Music details
• Music files
• Sport Integrity Training History PDF Summary

You’ll also need to ensure the required Sport Integrity courses have been completed:

Athletes over 15 years
• Anti-Doping Fundamentals
• Annual Update 2026

Athletes 15 years and under – State & Club
• Clean Sport 101

For skaters under 18, ISQ recommends completing the training with a parent or carer so everyone is familiar with the relevant rules and responsibilities.

We’d love to see lots of BFISC skaters representing the club at States, so if you haven’t entered yet, please submit your registration by tomorrow!

❄️⛸️ Winter Sun 2026 — That’s a Wrap! ⛸️❄️

What a fantastic four days of competition for Team BFISC!

We were incredibly proud to have 33 BFISC members representing our club across Aussie Skate, singles, solo ice dance, ice dance and pairs events.

There were so many wonderful performances, podium finishes, personal bests and special achievements throughout the competition.

A standout result came from Elka Chapman, who topped a field of 23 Preliminary Girls to take gold with a brilliant new PB of 31.74 — the highest Australian Preliminary score we have located in publicly available results.

🏆 A very special congratulations also goes to Dwight Kaptich, who was awarded the 2026 WinterSun Cup perpetual trophy and also took gold in Advanced Novice Boys with a new overall PB.

🥇 Jayla Tarbuck was crowned Junior Women Champion, finishing with a huge new overall PB of 110.65.

We also celebrated gold for Oliver Leahy in Basic Novice Boys, silver for Isabella Barrow in Intermediate Women, and a fantastic new Rhythm Dance PB from Isabelle McKewen in Senior Solo Ice Dance.

Across every level, our skaters stepped onto the ice with confidence, determination and pride. Whether it was a podium finish, a personal best, a first competition at a new level or simply achieving a personal goal, every BFISC skater has something to be proud of.

A huge thank you to our coaches, families and supporters who help make these opportunities possible.

Congratulations to all of our Winter Sun competitors — we are so proud of the way you represented BFISC both on and off the ice.
