🚐🐐 FOX CREEK SHUTTLE UPDATE 🐐🚐

Well... we may have jinxed ourselves.

Back in April we announced our new Goat-Assist Shuttle System™. It turns out the Transit took this personally and has now decided to retire temporarily with a broken flywheel, destroyed clutch and gearbox rebuild.

The good news is that the goats are ready to step in. 🐐🚐

The bad news is they're refusing to work weekends and keep eating the trail maps.

With the shuttle van currently undergoing major surgery, Fox Creek public shuttles will be paused for the next couple of weeks while we get everything rebuilt properly.

Private tours, bike hire and school programs are all operating as normal.

We'll keep everyone updated once the Transit is back on the road and the goats have completed their contract negotiations.

Shuttles! It's been pretty wet this week, and we are still having a little work done on the van, so we have decided to take a weekend off to avoid the mud, and having to clean a hired bus! Shuttle bookings are now open from 13 June, subject to weather!

With diesel now pushing $3.30/L, we’ve had to rethink how we run shuttles…

After exploring all options, we’re rolling out our new
Goat-Assist Shuttle System™ 🐐

A hybrid setup combining diesel and a trained goat team to help on climbs.

Early testing has revealed:

Strong uphill performance
Poor braking decisions
Easily distracted by vegetation

We’ll be trialling this system from this weekend.

Quick heads up 👋

From April, shuttle pricing will move from $45 → $50 per session.

Costs of running the vans (fuel, maintenance etc.) have jumped a fair bit recently, so this is a small adjustment to keep things running smoothly.

Still the same format — 2.5hr sessions with plenty of laps 🤘

We’ll also be running Easter Saturday shuttles, but only on the Saturday due to public holiday operating costs.

Thanks as always for the support — it genuinely keeps the wheels turning 🙌
