🥉3rd place at Avalon Raceway🥉

Had a good night in the V9 sprintcar, After going through a rough patch for the last couple of meetings.
The car had really good speed all night and we got close to the leaders on the last couple of laps to fight for the win, But unfortunately I got boxed in approaching lap traffic, Overall very happy to be on the podium once again, This weekend I'll be at Redline Raceway for Round 8 of the SRA Victoria LS/360 sprintcar series.

Rough night in the V9

Was good to be back in the family car at Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway, But it was one of them nights, Had trouble starting the car which was a battery (Big Thankyou to Koby Noonan for his spare to keep us going)

Then while leading my 2nd heat my side board fell off the wing, Which set us up to start 11th in the B-main, Car was fast and got the win, But during the B-main the steering box wasn't feeling good. (Another big thankyou to Brad Foster for lending me a steering box)
In the A-main I then hit a bump going into turn one only a handful of laps in and the car broke when it come back down and then made contact with the wall resulting in major damage to the brand new car. At this stage we are trying our best to get the car back going to finish off the remainder off the season.

Updated schedule to finish off the season

Back in the V9 this Saturday night at Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway apart of the 360/LS SRA Victoria Sprintcar Series.

Unfortunately our schedule has taken a bit of a hit with a few rain outs earlier on in the season, Now I have decided not to go to a few races that we had hoped to attended, because of lack of spare parts and funding to get there, unfortunately this sport is not cheap and rebuilding the car after Simpson has taken a toll. We’ve decided to focus on the series meaning I have 4 more races to finish the season off, hopefully we can end on a high.

Australian title over before it really begun

Unfortunately a mistake in qualifying took us out of contention for a a strong result, After hitting the wall and knocking the front end out and doing damage to the rear end I qualified last in my qualifying group,

Did 2 heat races moved forward in both with help from a few cars getting caught up in accidents, But ultimately we are just to buried in points to make anything happen, So we have decided to not race the final night.

Can't thank this D7 team enough Ken & Benisa, Paul Solomon and everyone else that came to help out, Apologies to everyone that went out of there way to get this D7 on track for it to be over so soon

Was really cool to get the opportunity to drive a 410 sprintcar again, Hopefully there is a next time

Can't thank everyone enough for offering to help get the family car back on track. So many generous people in the speedway community

🏁P9 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic🏁

Really cool to make my first classic A-main, Had to do it the hard way coming through the B-main and capturing the last lock in spot,
Then to go from 24th to 9th receiving hard charger against some of the best cars and drivers in the biggest race in Australia is something special that I'll remember for a long time.

Tough start in the D7

Super cool to be back in a 410 sprintcar at Premier Speedway, Warrnambool, just didn't have the pace right out the gate for qualifying, Probably more so me getting used to the 410 again. Went to work on the car and I feel like we had a pretty good car for non qualifer race, Finishing 3rd in that put us out of 10th in the C-main where we decided to pack up and not risk a car before the classic.

Disappointing night at Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway

Qualifying Flight 1 🏁18th
Heat 1 🚩 9th 🏁 4th
Heat 2 🚩 9th 🏁 6th
B-main 🚩 12th🏁 DNF

Made a huge mistake in qualifying deciding to run some old tyre's to save some money and ultimately cost me a race car later on, Had a really quick car making the fastest laps in both my heats and moving forward. Missing the invert in qualifying really hurt our chances of a strong result.
Going into turn one in the B-main, I ran into another car that was slowing with steering damage after he got taken out by the pole sitter,

Not sure when the V9 will be back at this stage,

Back in the D7 tonight at Premier Speedway, Warrnambool. We will have merch over the next 3 weekends, so come down to the D7 trailer to grab some, it would be much appreciated and help our little team out.

Back in the D7

Just when you start to think that you will never get the opportunity to drive a 410 sprintcar again, You have people like Ken & Benisa Hutchins throw you a life line.

Very grateful to get to race on the biggest stage once again, In a car that's very capable of a strong result.

Super cool to get the win last night at Avalon Raceway, Struggled a bit in the first heat, Just wasn't in the right spot to capitalise, But come the second heat we got the win from 4th,

The crew went to work after the heats and gave me a absolute weapon of a car for the feature race, Passed alot of good cars and got the win,

Can't thank, Dad, Caleb, Shannon, Josh, Josh and Paul Solomon enough for helping throughout the night
