Bannockburn FNC Auskick The local Auskick Clinic run by the Bannockburn Football and Netball Club. Our season will start FRIDAY the 2nd of MAY 2025 at 5pm, oval 2 Victoria Park.

Activities for tonight:

Kick the Stick – Kick the ball off the stick while working on kicking accuracy and control.

Handballing – Using targets to practise and improve handball technique and accuracy.

Red Light, Green Light – A stop-and-go game focused on listening skills, quick reactions, and speed — don’t get caught moving!

Mini Match – A fun game simulation focused on teamwork and game play. No tackling and no kicking off the ground.

Just a reminder to sign in your child tomorrow afternoon.

Here’s a quick overview of the activities planned and where parents may be able to jump in and help:

Duck Duck Goose - played in one large circle, with the children doing their best to catch—or avoid being caught by—their teammates.

Obstacle Course & Speckie Bag - Children will jump and weave through a series of obstacles before taking a speckie mark on the bag. We’ll be encouraging big marks, quick ball retrieval, and correct handball technique.

Four-Team Handball - In groups of four.
children will form a small square and handball to one another. The focus will be on clean marking, calling for the ball, and proper handball technique.

Mini Game - short game of footy where children will be encouraged to share the ball, use clean hands, and kick accurately. There will be no tackling.

Friday night, can I please ensure everyone is getting their name signed off in front of the change rooms.

To assist with parental support during our Auskick activities, I have outlined the four activities that will be taking place:

Goal Kicking
Encourage players to focus on a controlled ball drop — “like a rocket ship” — keeping the ball straight and balanced before kicking.

Lane Marking
Players will rotate between marking the ball on the chest and marking out in front. Encourage strong hands, watching the ball closely, and moving to the best position.

Tackle Bag & Handball Target
Players will tackle the bag to the ground before collecting a football and handballing back to a parent/guardian. The same concept applies at the handball target station. Encourage safe tackling technique, quick ball collection, and correct handball action.

Keep It Off the Adult
This activity focuses on teamwork, communication, and getting everyone involved. Encourage players to spread out, support teammates, and work together to maintain possession.

A huge thank you to all the parents, guardians, and volunteers who stepped up and helped make the first week such a success—we couldn’t have done it without you.

We hope the kids had an amazing time, embraced the chaos, and ran themselves absolutely ragged!

Superkick is designed for kids aged 7–12 years, providing the perfect environment to build confidence and develop footy skills — all without the pressure.

Each session combines training and match play, giving participants the chance to learn, improve, and most importantly, have fun.

Superkick is the ideal next step after Auskick, bridging the gap before transitioning into Junior Competition.
