When children are free to climb, build, explore and create in natural spaces, they’re doing far more than just playing. Nature invites children to slow down, engage their senses and connect with the world around them.

Research continues to show what many of us witness every day at Bush Magic. Time outdoors can support emotional wellbeing, reduce stress and foster creativity, confidence and resilience.

🌿 School holidays reimagined 🌿

Adventure, exploration and connection await at Bush Magic these holidays.

From archery and bushcraft to shelter building, campfires, creek adventures and nature play, every day is filled with opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence and enjoy the outdoors.

Our holiday program gives children the chance to step away from screens, embrace the outdoors and experience the freedom that comes with unstructured play and hands-on learning in nature.

Whether they’re climbing, creating, exploring or simply enjoying time outside, every child is encouraged to challenge themselves, discover their strengths and connect with the natural world around them.

A special shout-out to our incredible Shev! 🌿

After misplacing her keys, Shev was faced with an unexpected start to the day. Rather than miss out on Bush Magic, she walked 1.5 hours to the train station with no buses in sight. She was even prepared to walk the rest of the way to work after the train, but thankfully another wonderful Bush Magic educator was able to give her a lift.

It’s moments like these that remind us just how dedicated our team truly is. The commitment, passion and willingness to go the extra mile (quite literally!) to be there for the kids and programs is something we’re incredibly grateful for.

Thanks, Shev, for your determination and for always showing up with such a positive attitude. We’re lucky to have you as part of the Bush Magic team.

We are incredibly excited to share that Bush Magic has been named as a finalist for the 2026 NSW & ACT Outdoor Industry Awards for the People’s Choice Award!

To be recognised alongside so many organisations is a reflection of the amazing educators, families, children, and community who make Bush Magic what it is.

Outdoor education is so important. We are passionate about creating opportunities for children to connect with the natural world, build confidence, develop resilience and experience all that nature has to offer. Making our slice of the world the way we want the whole world to be.
