It’s time to celebrate our Junior Panthers! 🔵⚪

Join us for our Junior Presentation Night as we wrap up another fantastic Winter season and recognise the effort, improvement and achievements of all our junior players.

🏀 JUNIORS - FINALS WEEK 1 RECAP🏀

Finals basketball is here, and our junior Panthers came out swinging in Round 1 with three wins from six games across the age groups.

U12 Boys B1 — Panthers 47 def. by TBC Takers 62
A tough match against a strong Takers outfit, but the B1s never stopped competing. They've earned another bite at the cherry with a Preliminary Final this week — time to reload and go again!

U12 Boys B2 — Panthers 28 def. by Bulldogs 56
The B2s gave it a real crack against a quality Bulldogs side and can hold their heads high. The great news is they get another shot — Preliminary Final this week, and anything can happen in finals!

U14 Boys B1 — Panthers 53 def. TBC Takers 41
The U14 B1s meant business from the start, putting the Takers away with a commanding 12-point win. A confident performance that earns them a spot straight through to the Grand Final on Sunday September 13th.

U14 Boys B2 — Panthers 68 def. Echoes Light 45
The B2s were even more emphatic, running away with a 23-point victory over Echoes Light. Dominant from start to finish, and they too go straight through to the Grand Final.

U16 Boys B1 — Panthers 31 def. by Magic 59
Magic proved too strong in the semi, and unfortunately that brings the U16s' season to a close. Making finals is no small feat though, and the boys should hold their heads high for a great year.

U18 Boys — Panthers 68 def. Tigers 45
The U18s capped off the night in style, cruising to a big win over the Tigers. A polished effort that books them a spot straight through to the Grand Final on Sunday September 13th.

A Men, B Women & Three junior teams heading to Grand Finals, two more alive in Prelims — it's going to be a massive Sunday at The Rex. Get down and support our Panthers! 🏀⚪🔵

Coaches, TM’s and Parents, we strongly encourage you all to attend one of the available session, form closes tonight to register for one very informative information session.

🏀🏀Summer Season 2026-27 🏀🏀
🏀🏀Big changes are coming!🏀🏀
With some major changes coming to the rules of the game, as well as the terminologies used, to assist in educating everyone (coaching staff, players & spectators) with the changes, Barossa Basketball will be running a total of four (4) ‘Info Sessions’ before the Summer Season begins.
These sessions will not only cover the FIBA changes, but also to all that will be happening going into Summer Season, including the use of a shot clock for the first time in our local competitions (Under 16 & 18 Division 1 only), as well as a heap of information relating to the rules of the game, how the referees are then taught to call the game, and extras like BA’s ‘No Zone’ and the Barossa’s ‘Hands Off Defence’!

🏀 Seniors — Finals Week 1 Recap🏀

Monday night at The Rex was an electric start to finals for the Panthers, with both senior teams grinding out gutsy wins to kick off Finals in style.

A Men — Panthers 56 def. Echoes Dark 55
The A Men left it late on Court 1, trailing deep into the final quarter before digging in and pulling off a stunning one-point comeback against Echoes Dark. It looked like it might slip away, but the Panthers found another gear when it mattered most and snatched the win right at the death. They now face Echoes Light in the preliminary final next Monday night.

B Women Blue — Panthers 35 def. Bulldogs B 33
Over on Court 3 the B Women Blue had an equally tense battle, edging out Bulldogs by two points in a low-scoring, defensive arm-wrestle. Neither side gave an inch all game, and it came down to who wanted it more in the closing minutes. The Panthers held their nerve to grind out the win and book themselves a spot straight through to the Grand Final on Sunday September 13th at The Rex. That's a massive reward for a great season — get down there and pack the stands to cheer the girls home!

🔵⚪ JUNIOR PANTHERS | ROUND 15 RECAP ⚪🔵

Another great round of junior basketball for our Panthers, with plenty of close contests and some fantastic results across the grades! It was also the last minor round for all U12's and older with finals now just around the corner!

🏀 U10 Girls – Panthers had the bye.

🏀 U10 Boys – An all-Panther matchup saw Panthers White take the win over Panthers Blue!

🏀 U12 Boys B1 – A thrilling game with Panthers holding on for a 43-41 win over TBC Takers.

🏀 U12 Boys B2 – Another close contest, with Panthers coming away with a 21-18 victory over Magic Green.

🏀 U14 Boys B1 – Panthers continued their strong form with a 34-30 win over TBC Takers.

🏀 U14 Boys B2 – A tough game against Bulldogs Blue, going down 25-56.

🏀 U16 Boys B1 – So close! Panthers battled all game but narrowly fell short 57-58 against Magic.

🏀 U18 Boys – A strong finish to the regular season with a 71-55 win over Magic!

A huge good luck to all our Junior Panthers playing finals next week. Play hard, have fun and be proud to represent the Panthers! 💙🤍🐾

🏀 SENIOR SEASON WRAP-UP & FINALS PREVIEW 🐾

The regular season is done and dusted, and it’s time to look ahead to Finals basketball!

Congratulations to our senior teams on another big season representing the Panthers:

🏀 A Men are heading into the finals and will take on Echoes Dark next Monday night.

💙 B Women Blue have also earned their place in the finals and will face the Bulldogs.

Unfortunately, the season has come to an end for our other senior teams. C Men finished 5th, just outside the finals positions, while B Women White finished 7th.

A huge congratulations to all our players, coaches and supporters on the season so far. But for two of our teams, there’s still plenty of basketball left to play!

🏀 ROUND 14 JUNIOR RECAP 🏀

Another big round for our Panthers juniors, with seven wins across the nine games!

💙 U10 Girls got the round off to a winning start against TBC Takers, while U10 Boys Blue also came away with a win. U10 Boys White battled hard in a tight contest against Echoes Dark.

🔥 U12 Boys B1 put together a fantastic performance, defeating Echoes Dark 72-39. U12 Boys B2 also had a great result, running out 64-27 winners over the Bulldogs.

🏀 U14 Boys B1 produced an impressive 54-27 win over Echoes, while U14 Boys B2 claimed the W in a tight contest 42-40 to TBC Takers.

💪 U16 Boys continued their strong form with a convincing 48-72 win over Echoes Light.

🏆 U18 Boys made it another big win for the Panthers, holding off TBC Takers 85-68.

Great effort across the board from our junior Panthers. Keep working hard, keep supporting each other and keep enjoying your basketball!

🏀 Round 12 Junior Wrap-Up 🐾

Another busy round for our Panthers juniors, with six wins from nine games and plenty of great effort across the grades!

💙 U10 Girls kicked things off with a win over Tigers, while both U10 Boys White and Blue also came away with victories.

💪 U12 Boys B1 battled hard undermanned against TBC Takers but went down 36-65. U12 Boys B2 had a fantastic result, putting together a 40-3 win over Tigers.

🏀 U14 Boys B1 continued their strong form with a 51-46 win over Echoes Dark, while U14 Boys B2 fought all the way but fell just short, 36-39.

👏 U16 Boys produced another great performance, defeating Magic 41-20.

💙 U18 Boys battled hard against Tigers but couldn't quite get the win, going down 44-52.

Plenty of positives to take from another round of junior basketball. Keep working hard, supporting your teammates and enjoying the game! 💙🤍
