The Crippled Crows Masters Rugby Club is an over-35s community rugby organisation based in South Australia.

The Crippled Crows Masters Rugby is the leading Golden Oldies (over 35's) Rugby club in South Australia providing an outstanding playing and social experience for players (all genders) over the age of 35 years. The Crippled Crows are saying thank you to our business supporters and we wish to say thank you to a very important supporter in the form of Dr Fraser Vivian (Doc) and the Tanunda Medical Centre.

Doc is the immediate past President of the Crippled Crows, a position he held from 2019 until 2026, and he is still an active playing member of the Crippled Crows. Doc also keeps himself very busy with being the current President of his beloved Barossa Rams Rugby Club, located in Tanunda in the Barossa Valley.

The Tanunda Medical Centre, through their association with Fraser, have been supporting the Crippled Crows for many years now. As well as actively playing in our regular season games, Doc has toured extensively with the Crippled Crows, and will again be travelling to Vancouver in 2027, to attend the 2027 World Golden Oldies Festival with the Crippled Crows.

The Crippled Crows are saying thank you to our business supporters and we wish to say thank you one of our Gold Sponsors, Moana Dairies.

Established in 2017, Moana Dairies is the lifeblood and passion for keen rugby man Don Stolp. Don is a current player with the Crippled Crows, and Moana Dairies have been continued supporters of the Crippled Crows for many years.

Although located in the States southeast, Don regularly takes a short break from running the farm to drive to Adelaide to play the game he loves with a passion. As with many of our regular members, Don has toured with the Crippled Crows to Perth (2023) and Singapore (2025) and will again be travelling to Vancouver in 2027, to attend the 2027 World Golden Oldies Festival with the Crippled Crows.

The Crippled Crows are saying thank you to our business supporters and we wish to say thank you to one of our Silver Supporters, Nordkraft.

This two-day, competency-based accreditation course provides health and allied health professionals working in rugby with the knowledge and practical skills to assess, diagnose and manage injured players, delivering consistent and effective pitch-side immediate trauma and medical care.

🔹 Cervical spine assessment, collar sizing and fitting
🔹 Spinal immobilisation techniques
🔹 Player extrication using a spinal board

Season 2026 has come to end with our last game played on Friday 7th August against the Woodville Weary Wasps.

Our players can look forward to a long offseason and concentrate on training for season 2027 and our tour of Vancouver for the Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival in May of next year.

The Crippled Crows would like to send out a big thank you to all of our sponsors, supporters, and volunteers, without whom we would struggle to function.

Over the next few weeks, we would like to introduce the businesses that support the Crippled Crows both on and off the field.

A great turn out today, for our “Play in Purple” round, supporting Pankind Reseach for pancreatic cancer, and the second last game of the season, played at Old Collegians Rugby Club. How quickly does it all come around. Seems like only weeks ago we were kicking the season off with game 1. As always,the game was played in the spirit of fun, friendship and fraternity. Congratulations to Birdy awarded the referees award, and congratulations to Eben for being player of the day. We extend our thanks to Old Collegians Rugby for hosting us for the day, thank you to the bar staff, thank you to those that volunteered in the kitchen, dishing up the oysters and curries with special thanks to Rajiv for his added touch of authenticity.

This Sunday, 26th of July, the Crippled Crows play at Old Collegians Rugby Club, 12 noon kickoff.

This Sunday is our Play in Purple day for 2026, where we pull on the purple socks and play to raise monies for pancreatic cancer research, to help improve outcomes for Australians facing pancreatic cancer!

Wearing purple socks acknowledges that the Crippled Crows cares, and are helping raise awareness and funds for life-changing pancreatic cancer research.

Socks can be purchased in the day, with all proceeds going towards Pankind’s mission to triple pancreatic cancer survival rates by 2030.

After game meals of Oysters and Curries are back in the menu.

The weather gods smiled on Crippled Crows Rugby again today, with the game played in glorious sunshine, when not only an hour before it had been pouring with rain. Numbers were down a bit today, perhaps the unfavourable forecast (that never happened) kept players away but the brave souls that turned up played an 8 aside game of running rugby. Thank you to the Port Adelaide Pirates for putting up a side to take us on. We do it all again in 2 weeks at Old Collegians. Kick of time will the usual 12 noon.
