Spend the afternoon with me.

With a busy schedule, and teaching classes at night (around typical dinner time), it has taken some time to figure out how to nourish myself well.

I LOVE food & cooking with fresh ingredients, so it is a bit of a challenge sometimes to find the time for it.
Lately I’ve been prepping dinner before teaching, or I’ve been lucky enough for my hubby to take charge and cook. This way, I still get to eat a nutritious meal without feeling stressed about cooking something quick after coming home.

How do you balance busy life and feeding yourself well?

Something arrived today and I may have squealed a little 🥥

Come Home To Yourself - 9th May

Join a small group of women for Sun Blooms first official event 🤍

Come Home To Yourself is a mindful afternoon designed for you to reconnect. As women, we often give so much of our energy to others, this gathering is a space to bring that focus back to yourself.

This afternoon includes a short, gentle yoga practice followed by a guided meditation & a moment for celebrating with some snacks and herbal teas.

On this day, the Sun Bloom guided meditation library will officially go live and all attendees will get exclusive first access for free for a whole month (!)

People ask me why we hold yin poses for so long. What the difference is between a stretch and a yin class.

A stretch lengthens the muscles, but in yin we don’t work with the muscles.

In yin, we work with the deeper tissues. The connective tissues (the fascia, ligaments, the deep layers your muscles protect) only softens when it feels safe. And that takes time. It takes stillness. It takes you deciding for a few minutes, not to rush.

That’s not passive. That can be one of the hardest things you can ask a modern nervous system to do.

Hold the pose. Stay with the discomfort until it becomes ease. That’s where the healing lives.
