It was already in 2018 when I saw an ad for an SPT course in Lisbon, organised by my friend Vasco Gaspar. I remember writing to him something along the lines of: "I don't know what it is, but I feel that I should be there".
I actually didn't attend that course. Instead, I was offered the chance to attend Deep U (a wonderful concept that continues running and growing by Vasco and Maria), where I not only came across SPT but also other practices that are still part of my life today, like Heartfulness meditation.
This was definitely a life-changing experience that I'm very grateful for, and a clear example of listening to what wants to emerge!
I did end up attending the basic SPT course, but only the next year in Berlin with its founder, Arawana Hayashi, and a few more after that. The last photo in this post was taken on my way back to Vienna, after that first course in 2019.
Since then, I've had the dream of sharing the practice with more and more people as a regular space to practice presence together, and not as a single experience inside a workshop.
I've included SPT in many of my embodiment sessions, and invited many people to experience them in different settings. But that specific dream, I have not turned into reality... Until now!
From September onwards, I'll be facilitating:
🌱 SENSING TOGETHER
Body, Presence & Collective Intelligence
Every Wednesday | 09:00–10:00 | Abuela Sinha Sanctuary · 1150 Vienna
An hour to slow down, move, sense and explore what becomes possible when we listen not only to ourselves, but to the space between us using SPT exercises.
I'm especially excited to share this with fellow somatic practitioners, facilitators, coaches, change-makers and Theory U explorers. In the end, it's speaking to anyone who feels that there is more to collective intelligence than what we can think our way into.
The body knows before we have the words. And we can sense together what none of us could sense alone.
Would you like to join me in this little dream of having a space to sense together weekly?
