Our athletes tackled the muddy track of MTO Trails Whiteriver on the 25th of April. The track was tough and slippery, but our athletes showed great determination!

The first race of the 2026 Cross Country season kicked off on the 14th of March at the Mbombela Stadium! We had our biggest team yet participating in the AMPU league (19 athletes) and finished the day off with 5 athletes on the podium!

What's new?

โ€ข Quality - An upgrade to the fabric was made to be more breathable and comfortable for running.
โ€ข Name - We added the name underneath the school's crest, so that the people know who we are & where we are from! (it's not always easy to identify a school by just looking at its crest).
โ€ข Meaning - Taking inspiration from the words in our school anthem, the phrase "Heart and Hand" was added to the top part at the back of the vest along with 3 symbols from our school crest. This symbolizes that we stand firm and strong through our 113 years of history!

Lenique Pretorius was part of the Cross Country team during the 2022 & 2023 seasons! In December of 2025 we finally got an opportunity to send her a farewell gift! She ran a total of 20 races during the 2 years that she was in the team. She finished on the podium a total of 9 times, and won the Senior Girl's Cross Country Athlete of the Year award in 2023! Her positivity and dedication made her one of our top athletes at the time! We hope she still enjoys running as much as we do ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ
