We are immensely proud to acknowledge the outstanding accomplishments of two of our former students who have continued to shine on the rugby stage:

Esona Xashimba – Selected to represent Border Under‑21 during the prestigious 2026 U/21 Currie Cup season. His dedication, discipline, and talent have earned him this remarkable opportunity to showcase his skills at provincial level.

Lucas Nande – Making his senior Currie Cup debut today against the Griffons. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in his rugby journey, and we are confident he will rise to the occasion with the same commitment and passion he displayed during his time with us.

These achievements are a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and the values instilled during their development. We celebrate their success and look forward to seeing them continue to inspire the next generation of players.

Week 5 Highlights

💪 Commitment in All Conditions; Our academy boys showed incredible dedication this week, working hard in the gym and on the training field. Even the rainy weather couldn’t keep them away, proving their resilience and passion for the game.

🎯 Training Focus
- Catch and Pass: Building accuracy and confidence.
- Breakdown Area: Reinforcing strong body positions and smart decision‑making.

These core skills continue to form the foundation of their rugby development.

The boys representing the **Stilfontein Hurricanes** were excited for their first competition, the **Phillip van Rensburg Challenge**. Unfortunately, heavy rains led to the cancellation of all matches.

While disappointing, this gives us another valuable week to prepare, both physically and mentally, for the challenges ahead.

🏉 Week five reminded us that true rugby spirit is about **hard work, resilience, and unity**. Our players are growing stronger together, and we look forward to seeing them shine when competition resumes.
