Investing in people. Celebrating their potential. ๐
Packaging World was honoured to receive a WIL Excellence Award at the Durban University of Technologyโs HR Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) awards ceremony, recognising our contribution to the programme in 2025.
Our HR Director, Thanusha Thumbaya, also received the WIL Mentor Excellence Award in recognition of her commitment to mentoring emerging HR professionals. HR Manager Ncumisa Phungula and Training Manager Selwyn Peters joined her to celebrate this achievement.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful? All three HR interns we mentored in 2025 have since been appointed to permanent positions at Packaging World.
For us, work-integrated learning is an opportunity to help young professionals build confidence, gain practical experience and take their first steps towards lasting careers.
This year, we have welcomed two new HR learners and look forward to supporting their development.
Thank you to DUT for this recognition and for the opportunity to help develop the next generation of HR professionals. Congratulations to our HR team and the learners whose hard work made this achievement possible! ๐
