PERFECT ACADEMY FC TO LEAD ANTI-DRUG & BULLYING AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOLLOWING EASTER TOURNAMENT VICTORY
The Edgar Legoale Foundation welcomes and commends Perfect Academy FC, champions of the 2026 Edgar Legoale Easter Soccer Tournament, for continuing the mission and vision of the tournament by leading an Anti-Drug & Bullying Awareness Campaign in Sharpeville.
As part of the objectives of the Edgar Legoale Easter Soccer Tournament, it was mandatory for the winning team to lead a community anti-drug awareness campaign as part of promoting social responsibility, youth empowerment and community development beyond football.
This year’s tournament was held under the powerful theme:
“Our Goals Are Bigger Than Drugs.”
The theme reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to fighting substance abuse, gangsterism and social ills affecting young people through sport and community mobilisation.
Perfect Academy FC will now carry this message forward through their campaign under the theme:
“Choose Hope, Not Drugs — Stand Together Against Bullying.”
The campaign seeks to encourage young people to reject drugs, stand against bullying and choose hope, discipline and purpose. It further demonstrates how sport can be used as a powerful tool to inspire positive social change within communities.
The event will also be attended by members of the Edgar Legoale Knockout Challenge management team, including Tournament Manager, Mzwandile Sontyale (DJ POTS), and Assistant Tournament Manager, Blessing Maphisa.
