Vivienne has been chosen to represent South Africa at the 2026 WSF World Junior Squash Championships in Canada later this year.

She started playing squash as a little girl with Tannie Elize in Parys and now attends Eunice school in Bloemfontein, but you'll still spot her at the Parys courts during the holidays.

She is the number 1 ranked girl in the Free State and will be representing the province at the IPTs at the end of the month and also playing in the Growth Point under 19 Nationals in Cape Town.

It's a once in a lifetime oppertunity for her to represent South Africa in Canada, but comes at a huge cost so any donation will help to make this dream come true.

Parys Squash Club hosts squad training for the junior players who have been selected to play for Free State at IPTs later this month. With a focus on fitness and drills, we need to make sure they are ready to give their best for the province. We got some actions shots of some of the squad this afternoon.

Dewald van Niekerk, the number 1 ranked South African player, visited Parys Squash Club again last week and together with Alwyn Venter, did some coaching sessions. Young and old enjoyed the evening and picked up some new skills.

Ons bure het gister bietjie noord gery om te kom muurbal speel en kuier. Dankie aan die toerspan van Kroonstad. Ons maak weer so.

Baie geluk aan Vivienne van der Schyff, wat van kleins af muurbal in Parys gespeel het, maar nou skool gaan by Eunice. Sy is na afloop van die top 16 toernooi ingesluit in die SA Junior Muurbal span.

Die klub se talentvolle spelers staan behoorlik uit.

Hartelik baie geluk aan Jasmaine Rust wat 3rde plek meisies onder 17 behaal het by die SA Junior Top 16 toernooi die naweek. Net die beste 16 spelers van reg oor die land is genooi om deel te neem. Wat die besondere prestasie nog meer indrukwekkend maak, is dat Jasmaine nou net onlangs 15 geword het, en dus teen dames amper 2 jaar ouer kompiteer.

Jasmaine, ons is trots om te sê dat die mooi dame wat haar alles gee, hard oefen, slim op die baan d**k, en vinnig beweeg van Parys af kom. Mag jy altyd jou sport geniet en bly presteer.

The first day of the Squash South Africa Top 16 tournament is done and our Parys girls and boy gave it their all. This is an invitation only tournament with only the top 16 players in each age group receiving an invitation. They play for top honours and South African team selection. Just getting here is already an achievement.

Micke (girls under 13), Duvan (boys under 13) and Jasmaine (girls under 17) won both the games they played today!! Lexi (girls under 13) and Dahlia (girls under 15) weren't as lucky. Tomorrow everyone plays another 3 games and the finals take place on Sunday.
