Grassroots Sports Development Under 17 Soccer tournament.

To all coaches,team managers,club owner's,players and the soccer loving community.

Let us first start by apologizing for the late communique, we have had many meetings in preparation for the upcoming tournament.

This serves as an official announcement with regards to Grassroots Sports Development Under 17 Soccer tournament that is scheduled to take place during the December school holiday's.

As the organizer's of the tournament, we are safely at liberty of saying the 2nd edition of Grassroots Sports Development Under 17 Soccer tournament will take place during the 3rd weekend of December 2021. This year we are going bigger and bigger, as we will be hosting 16 under 17 team's fr Tumahole and other neighbouring towns.

The tournament will be held as follows:
Date: 17-19 December 2021 (3 day's)
Affiliation: R750.00
Cut off date for affiliation: 13 December 2021

First price :R5000.00,trophy and medals

There will also be individual awards for outstanding players the duration of the tournament,also we will having team scout from various teams.

We hope and trust that we will have a more successful tournament than the 2020 edition.

We are still at it.
The second edition of Grassroots Sports Development under 17 tournament is upon us.
This year the stakes are high, and when I say the stakes are high I mean it.

The affiliation for this year's tournament will be R750.00 per team, it must be noted that only 16 teams will be allowed to register for the tournament. The first come, first paid affiliation will be the new normal.

First price: R5000.000 ,trophy ,medals and Jersey.
Second price: R2500.00 ,trophy,medals and Jersey.
Third price: Medals and other incentives.

We would also be having individual awards for outstanding players from the beginning of the tournament till the end on the 3rd day.

We will continue to give information with regards to the tournament as time goes on.

After the inaugural Grassroots Sport Development Under 17 soccer tournament, there were a little bit of discrepancies when it came to age cheating.So for the 2021 edition, players that are eligible to play, are players that were born from the year 2005 to date.
Coaches nd team Managers are urged to start assisting their players in getting Smart cards, as no player will take part in the tournament without proper identification (Smart card).
We hope and trust that Coaches and Managers start organising with the relevant department's (Home Affairs) as soon as possible.

Grassroots Sports Development would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone that listened to our pleas,thus lending a helping hand in realizing our first dream. Organizing the "Grassroots Under 17 tournament " became a lesson to us, we learned that we can never exist alone, while there's a community of people that are willing to help. We would also like to send our biggest thank you to Elebone, the company continues to be a catalyst of hope in Tumahole, not only through the creation of jobs but through its various initiatives that promotes sporting activities.
Also ye office of the Executive Mayor of Ngwathe Municipality. Mme Mochela rea leboha ho menahane mme waka. I personally know that we had our differences that come way back but when we came to you and presented our cries,you became a parent and listened to us,and for that, we say thank you.
To all the players and coaches that became part of our first tournament, we say to you friends of Grassroots Sports Development "Gracias", you helped become the talk of the town with your brand of beautiful football. You made us feel like king's amongst kings and for that,we say thank you yet again.
Lastly to the fans,bana beso, you guys showed that batho ba Tumahole ba rata papadi ya bolo, hosa kgathatsehe ho bapala mang,empa bolo ke ntho ya lona. As Grassroots, we promise to continue giving you tournaments of the biggest magnitudes.

There have been rumours even before the tournament, that we as Grassroots Sports Development have established a soccer team named "GREEN MAMBAS", let me therefore put the rumour to rest by announcing that Coach Mello Christopher Coach Zolile M***a and Coach Sandie Rasmen will be leading a team come the beginning of 2021. So it is not only Mamelodi Sundowns that will have 3 coaches but our little new baby 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
