HAZY DAZY TAKES ON THE BOYS IN THE GRADE 1 DAILY NEWS 2000

This Saturday, Hazy Dazy lines up in Race 7 at Hollywoodbets Greyville, the R2,000,000 Grade 1 Daily News 2000 over 2000m.

It is a serious test, no doubt. She takes on some of the strongest three-year-old c**ts in the country, including July favourite Note To Self, the highly rated Jan Van Goyen, the impressive Star Major, and the consistent Happy Verse. On paper, the boys bring depth, class and big reputations into this race.

But Hazy Dazy has earned her place here.

She is a top-class filly, already proven at Grade 1 level, and she gets a valuable 2.5kg pull from the c**ts. From draw 3, she should have the opportunity to find a comfortable position without being forced to do too much early. Over 2000m at Greyville, that matters. She has the turn of foot, the courage, and the race record to make her presence felt if things unfold in her favour.

The market may have others ahead of her, but at 10/1, she looks far from out of place. She is tough, she is genuine, and she has already shown that when the pressure is on, she can fight with the very best of her generation.

This is a bold assignment, but champions are tested in races like this.

Come Saturday, Hazy Dazy gets her chance to show the boys exactly who she is.

Circle of Grace gets it done in style, winning in only his 4th race yesterday.

A huge well done to the Green Lightning Racing Team and everyone involved in this exciting horse’s journey so far. He keeps showing heart, and he rewarded the team with a brilliant victory.

LIFE IN COLOUR announces himself in style!

Our exciting 2-year-old c**t produced a dominant performance to win impressively over 1400m yesterday, showing natural speed from the jump before cruising clear to score eased up by an emphatic margin. A very exciting performance from a horse we have always held in high regard at home.
