Much more than a simply an impressive water feature...

: the Sonderend River (aka Riversonderend) originates high up in in the Hottentots Holland Mountains, feeds the Theewaterskloof Dam and plays a crucial role in the Western Cape's Water Supply System. This reservoir can hold over 400 million cubic meters of H2O and provides water to Cape Town, surrounding municipalities and farms.

When you with us, you walk above the source as you cross our suspension bridge and even get to zipline over the very first few waterfalls as it wends its way to the ocean 🌊

"Listen folks, we all have an envelope we live in. What we know we can do, what we think we can do and things we think are perhaps beyond us. The Cape Canopy Tour is one of those 'life-affirming' experiences that stretches that envelope and makes you feel truly alive. Sure there may be longer zip lines out there but this is is not just a few moments of frantic adrenaline rush and then all over. This is a couple of hours of 'superman-ing' it as you literally fly through a stunning landscape of mountains, gorges and waterfalls. The guides were brilliant and made it feel fun, safe and thrilling. This was an experience worth every rand I paid and I would do it again and again and again. Make no mistake you can do this and you'll feel on top of the world when you do. Don't think about it, just pay 'da man' and fly like a bird."

: a hardy and strikingly beautiful heather, Erica gracilis, is endemic to the Western Cape and thrives under harsh conditions where other plants struggle.

An integral part of the fynbos biome, its small tough leaves minimise water loss during dry summers and this resilient indigenous shrub provides nectar, pollen, shelter and a microhabitat for a wealth of local birds, rodents, lizards, snakes, bees, butterflies and other insects

It's very popular in Europe for winter window boxes making it a mass-cultivated export plant... but you can see it growing wild as you walk to Platform 1 and prepare to leap through 'The Rabbit Hole' as you begin an unforgettable zipline adventure with us!
