Today we visited with our Clarens Eagles Rugby boys who received a scholarship this year to continue their school career at St Anne's HS in Virginia. Here I am with Rathulo Mohoje (he didn't play today, due to rehab after an injury), Tshepo Mokwena (his first 1st team "cap") and among the coaches of St Anne's Tshepiso "Vilakazi" Ngoase who played a nice second half. The boys is taken care of by Brendan Kretzmann (former Cheetahs and President of Welkom Rugby Club) and his wife Erika. The boys are progressing well with their schoolwork and are playing lots and lots of rugby. They are becoming young gentlemen. (Rugby is a hooligan's game played by gentlemen)

Tiisetso Mofokeng of the Clarens Eagles with his coaches, after his second game at the Wildeklawer Rugby Festival in Kimberley. They played against the Northern Cape Barbarians. They were very impressed with his game. He carried the ball powerfully and defended aggressively. Our Eastern Baabaas won the game with 35 to 21. Well done homie!!

This is Tiisetso Mofokeng. He started with the Clarens Eagles at 14 and applied extra-ordinary commitment to his rugby development. Today he played his 1st game for the senior 1st team of Bethlehem Oud-Skoliere against Vrede. They won their game and Tiisetso aquitted himself with distinction. Still only 19 years old, he has passed matric with a high Bachelors exemption and plans to study law in 2027 at NWU or UFS. His gap year is geared towards work and life experience and developing his rugby portfolio. If you want to support his journey, connect with us.
