To the promotion and the heavyweight division,

Due to injury, I have made the difficult decision to vacate the Heavyweight Championship. As much as I would love to continue representing the division as champion, I don’t want to hold up opportunities for the rest of the heavyweight roster while I focus on recovery.

Thank you to the promotion, my teammates, and all the fans for your support throughout my championship run. Once I’m fully recovered, I’m hopeful we can work out a few fights and get back to doing what I love.

Until then, I wish everyone competing for the belt the very best.
