Masiphumelele Rugby Club Masiphumelele RFC also known as the Masi Pumas - a Rugby Club for the Community

The name of the club has been revised to the Spirit Masiphumelele RFC from May 2021. The Spirit Foundation has become the new title sponsor of the club for the next five years. The club has its origins as a Sunday team playing it's games in the Kayelitsha league. With no home venue to train or play in, their survival was dependent on their individual passion to play rugby. RFC has a home at the Noordhoek sports grounds, in the South Peninsula. Spirit Masiphumelele RFC not only represents the South Peninsula, it actively supports the development of rugby for all communities in the area. It is our vision with the new sponsorship deal, to make our way back into the Super C league and then Super B. We are a unique club with unique challenges, hence our motto, "Life beyond Rugby".

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of one of our own, Siviwe Mntalana.

Siviwe was a long standing member of the Masi Rugby Club family and a committed player for the 2nd team.

Our deepest condolences go out to Siviwe’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
