Mentally & Physically I have my way of doing things…

We coach athletes to become better performers, inside and outside of their chosen sport. It’s a lifestyle to become elite. You don’t choose when you want to be elite or else it most likely won’t happen.

Elite doesn’t mean being the best in the world. It means being the best possible human you can be.

I’ve gone from working on a building site earning £50 a day as a failed rugby player to running my own coaching business reaching the top of the hybrid fitness sport.

I’ve learnt a lot through the process. I want to help fellow athletes & coaches do the same.

The limiting factor was always me…

I removed the negative thoughts from ruling me and used them to start fuelling me.

Backing myself even when I under perform in races.

If you take anything from my season in Hyrox…

I’ve gone from making myself look like the slowest of the pack in the Hamburg major to placing 2nd in the Melbourne major, placing nearly last at EMEA regionals.

I then run the race of my life…

Stockholm World champs where it all matters. Missing out on the podium by seconds against the best of the best.

On my day I feel like I can beat anyone. So we plan when that day is going to be. I haven’t got the abilities at the minute to rock up to every race and win.

Am I happy…

Yes.

Am I satisfied…

No.

I want to win. But this year placing 4th was a huge win for me in this journey I’m on.

The goals for next year have already been set. The plan has been put in. This will be moving into year 2-3 on the 4 year Olympic training cycle.

If you have dreams to be the best. You are going to have to spend a lot of years not being the best & being ok with that!

This dog’s not going anywhere. Winning is the only option 🐶

If you was wondering if the dog came out…

Running off the lunges I’m pretty sure I hit the first 100m in 11s thanks to Rich Ryan & Pelayo Menendez Fernandez

From there it was eyes closed praying to see the in arch for the wall balls for the last time.

Thank god Charlie EFM Botterill threw 20 reps as I was in no state to perform any form of movement apart from being bent over gasping for oxygen.

Woof 🐶

That was so much fun. Felt like a kid again on school sports day…I don’t think anyone had us down for a result like that...

I don’t think anyone had us down for a result like that and to be honest I didn’t either.

I was confident I’d done everything possible to get in the best mental & physical shape I have ever been in.

I just didn’t know if it would be enough. I guess 4th place ain’t too bad at the world champs.

Just want to thank everyone who has been in my corner through all the good, the bad and the ugly.

This dog’s here to stay and I think I proved to myself that I am.
