It’s been one hell of a journey to get the opportunity to race at the top level against the best of the best…
I’ve made plenty of mistakes. Which are necessary!
I’ve overtrained. Which helped me find out where my limits are.
I’ve undertrained. Which was a tough lesson in knowing more work needs to get done.
I’ve been in the wrong environment. Which helped me learn what the right environment is, and who the right people are for me.
There’s no one way to do this s**t. You just have to figure it out yourself.
Before you criticise someone’s approach. Maybe look at it and potentially learn something from them.
All this is, is passed down knowledge from one person to the next. You just have to learn which methods make you a better athlete, not what makes someone else a better athlete.
I’ve had nearly 4 years in this sport and I can honestly say I’ve learnt so much from hanging around various different athletes & coaches who are all great in their own way.
Somethings I like. Somethings I don’t like. That’s the beauty of being an athlete. Find the things that you honestly believe will put you in the best physical and mental shape possible.
Stick to it. Don’t change it.
