The Perfect Corner Guesthouse TKS TMDC U/9 Cricket Tournament🏏

Truida Kestell Primary School, in partnership with Thabo Mofutsanyana District Cricket and main sponsor The Perfect Corner Guesthouse, proudly hosted the U/9 cricket tournament from 28 to 30 August 2026. The event featured eight teams from schools across Bethlehem, Kimberley, and Sasolburg, competing in The Perfect Corner Guesthouse TKS TMDC tournament.

Newton Primary School emerged as the overall champions, with Truida Kestell School’s A team finishing as runners-up. The tournament was a great success, highlighting the importance of early development in nurturing talented cricket players for the future.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Truida Kestell Primary School, The Perfect Corner Guesthouse, and all the participating schools for making this event possible. We look forward to the 2027 tournament!

A New Chapter for Thabo Mofutsanyana District Cricket🏏

Thabo Mofutsanyana District Cricket held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 25 June 2026, at Highlands Inn in Bethlehem, where a new Executive Committee was elected to serve the district for the 2026–2029 term.

The newly elected Executive Committee will oversee the administration, governance and continued growth of cricket across the district over the next three years. We congratulate the newly elected Executive Committee and look forward to working together to continue growing cricket across the district.

The AGM also provided an opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of clubs and individuals during the 2025/26 season.

🏆 TMDC Club of the Year was jointly awarded to Harrismith Pheasant Pluckers Cricket Club and Bethlehem Oud Skoliere Cricket Club in recognition of their exceptional contribution to cricket, both on and off the field.

🤝 TMDC Fair Play Award was presented to Harrismith Pheasant Pluckers Cricket Club in recognition of the club's commitment to sportsmanship, respect and upholding the true spirit of cricket throughout the season.

🏅 The TMDC Peet VD Merwe Trophy for Umpire of the Year was awarded to Mr Hennie Labuschagne in recognition of his outstanding service, professionalism, consistency and dedication to umpiring throughout the 2025/26 season.

Congratulations to all of this season's award recipients on your well-deserved achievements. Thank you for your continued commitment to the growth and success of cricket in the Thabo Mofutsanyana District.
