Gary Smith Worthington Classic

One of the ONLY 5 MILE races in central Ohio. It starts and finishes at the Thomas Worthington High School Track.

The Gary Smith All-Comers XC Meet was formed for and by people that love, support, admire, and thank the late Gary Smith for his devoted and dedicated years as coach and teacher for the Worthington School district. The race goes east on Dublin-Granville Rd., north on Evening St., winds through Worthington Estates (passes Gary's former house), up to Wilson Bridge Rd., and home down through the Olentangy River Bike Path, back to the track.

To date we have not received the funds and Benevity will not disclose the name of the donor - you. We would very much like to know who you are so we can thank you. We appreciate you very much !

The winner of the 2024 GS Compassionate Teacher Award from Bluffsview Elem., Worthington Hills Elem., and McCord MS and WKHS Girl's LAX Head Coach, is ALLY McCARTHY MINISTER, a 1994 TWHS grad. Niki was home sick today, so John did double duty at Convocation.

This weekend was the annual "Gary Smith TWHS Invitational HS Track Meet".... got us thinking about this year's "Gary Smith All-Comers Race in mid-August. Look for details soon. It's FREE. Last year we had about 1600 racers.
