Course Report for the Ravine Trail Run 2026

As of Friday afternoon around 4pm, the trail is in excellent condition. Dry, wide, grassy, hilly, and beautiful with lengths of trees and fields to keep your racing interesting.

5k racers complete one loop, 10k racers go around twice.

You can absolutely register on the day of the race, but a reminder that we are cashless. Give yourself plenty of time to register via the QR code, RunSignUp login (or creating an account), signing the online waiver, and paying via the webpage.

Course marking looks crazy because it is.

Both a literal joy to be out on the trails scooping out each turn and divot for work, while pouring over the placement of each sign and ribbon.

Definitely our kind of crazy.

🦉The Night Owl 5k/10k and 6 Hour Shuffle is coming up on October 3, 2026!

The Night Owl Races are a fan favorite with multiple options to enjoy some trail running both during the day and at night.

The 6 Hour Shuffle has runners on a 3.3 mile loop as many times as they can for 6 hours. A great way to post some miles and enter the world of ultras. Starting at 2pm and ending at 8pm, a portion of the race will take place in the dark under the ski lights. Take this challenge on as an individual, or as a team.

The 5k and 10k races take place entirely in the dark under the ski lights along the Lake Elmo trails. These races are an incredible way to experience both trail running and night running.

2026 Ravine Trail Run Racer's Guide

This trail race kicks of next Saturday morning along the gorgeous trails of the Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park.

Here is all the information you need to have a safe, fun, and challenging race.

The Ravine Trail Race is coming up on September 5.

It's the perfect event to try a hilly trail run, get a trail race in before your weekend festivities, or enjoy the race community and trails of Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park.

This is the course map. 5k racers make one loop while the 10k racers take on two loops. Every finisher receives a race woodle and finish line snacks.

Racers chose their woodles carefully because it also doubled as their bingo card for each loop of the bingo race.

If they got bingo during the loops, they added a little piece to their woodle string that said, “Bingo!”. If runners did not bingo, they got a piece to add that said, “DNB.” (Did not bingo)

Everyone walked away with their woodle showing the luck of the pulls.
