We were fortunate and it was a huge honor for us to have this beauty on display for a couple of days at the course this week. The foundation that this coaching staff (Coach Peters & Coach Thomas) have put in place for many years shined brightly as this group of young adults achieved their final goal of the 2026 golf season. To our athlete's, your hard work & desire to achieve to be champions is something each of you carry with you and have forever.
We'd also like to take this time to thank every coach in our WCSD in all activities & sports for their dedication at every level in building good character and excellence with our youth. They are our leaders of tomorrow. For our community to watch you bring home WIAA state championships in Football, Track & Field and now Golf in a single year is something that makes us all proud.

This storm is setting up like it's going to get pretty ugly for the next couple of hours. We are closing down the course for the remainder of today and sending our employees home before the severe stuff hits in the next half hour or so. Stay safe tonight and we'll hope tomorrow's rains stay away and we can get this place up and running again in the morning.

Dateline: beginning of February, 2026. My phone starts going off with text messages asking if there's any way they can get out to play. Keep in mind it's 30 degrees, wind chills in the 20's, the ground is frozen, and snow covers at least 30% of the course. Yet this group of student athlete's have already scoped out the greens and know they are close to clear.
The end of March comes rolling in and it's time for Coach Peters and Coach Thomas to get their first eye for the year on what they'll be working with. So many quality players to work with. This entire team is ready to grind and get the high school season rolling. They played all winter in the simulators, already have 20 rounds on the course in and are ready to compete. The team goals are set for the 2026 golf season.
Fast forward to 5:00pm, Tuesday June 2nd. Conference champions...check, Regional champions...check, Sectional champions...check, Division 2 #1 ranking in the state...check, entire team qualify for a State championship...check.
What a tremendous job these coaches have done leading this group! This entire team belongs!
Time to move on to University Ridge in Madison and compete for a team state championship June 8th & 9th with these 5 students representing WHS. Go to that first tee box relaxed, have a purpose and soak it all in! Go get em' gents, play on!!!

Morning. We are going to have to shut down power carts for the morning and hope to be running them for the afternoon & evening if this current rain slows down. If you require a cart to play, please give the clubhouse a call before coming today. Thanks!

A good, but rainy & cold Sunday afternoon everyone. At this point you might as well stay comfortable in the chair & watch the PGA Championship. Power carts are shutdown for the remainder of the day due to wet conditions and the clubhouse will be closing for the day at 4:00pm. Enjoy what's left of the weekend & we'll see everyone soon!

Well, not great news this morning. There was one little orange blob of heavy rain last night and of course it had to pass right over the top of LB. The course is back to some standing puddles and things are extremely wet once again. Power carts will be shut down the entire morning and if there is any chance we can open them this afternoon, we will. If you require cart to play, please give a call before coming this afternoon. The course is open for walkers this morning, but lace up the waterproof shoes if you do play. The range will be closed for the entire day with pretty good confidence it will open tomorrow morning.

Sorry for the late update, but we are going to leave power carts idled once again on Tuesday during the day. We will be opening carts to begin running on Wednesday morning to finally get rolling again and just hoping the rain scheduled for Thursday night and Friday goes away. So grab your tee time & let’s go!!

TGIF!! Course conditions have slightly improved, but overall still remain sloppy. We’ll give these greens a few more hours to firm up this morning and we will open for walkers about noon today. We certainly hope tonight’s scheduled storms stay away. See everyone soon!

The golf course will once again be closed today due to the extremely wet conditions. The grounds can simply not handle any additional rain at this time. The clubhouse will be open today between 9:00 & 2:00.

Course update for Wednesday. Last nights rain will keep the course in complete shutdown mode today. If we do not receive any rain today or tonight, there is an outside chance we could open the course for walking golf only by noon or so on Thursday. Today the clubhouse will be shutting down at noon for the remainder of the day. We'll post course updates as needed right here until these wet conditions allow us to get back on track.
Word of the day here is "PATIENCE" and just like our guests, we can't wait to say.....Play On!
