This evening's excursion Jill, Jase, and I welcomed Jordon Doran onto the Champ on Lake Mohawskin right in Tomahawk for some musky "fun". Besides being WAAAAY over propped for the load we had on board and could barely get out of our own way, we ran up the Wisconsin to the King Dam. There we threw basically the whole arsenal at them, only to have a small upper 20's Musky surface just off the boat nowhere near our baits and laugh at us. So we worked the shoreline downstream a ways and it finally happened....... I had a fish smack on my bucktail and i was hooked up, and for 10 seconds, it was intense, and then my bucktail came shooting outta the water like it was shot out of a cannon, and just like that it was over...... I almost cried real man tears, but wasn't gonna let Jordon see that, so I sucked it up and kept casting. Last morning of fishing tomorrow, thinking of either Little Arbor Vitae or Carrol Lake.....that decision will be made in the morning.
