For more than 100 years, Camp Riva-Lake has been more than a place — it has been a home.

It’s where girls discover confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships. Generations of us have grown up in our green and whites, learning to ride, canoe, climb, lead, and belong. It’s where so many of us first understood who we were and what we could do.

Our community has the power to write the next chapter of Riva-Lake’s story, one that will impact hundreds of children for decades to come. Together, we can protect Camp Riva-Lake for the next 100 years.

Summer 2026 is right around the corner and we are thrilled to introduce (or re introduce) you to our incredible Co Directors and ._nicole 💚

Not only are these two sisters IRL, but they have been coming to camp since it first reopened in 2005 (see throwback photo at the end). We are so incredibly grateful for their commitment to camp and commitment to making sure every CRL girl has the best summer ever.

We are thrilled to introduce our next alumni as part of our 2026 alumni spotlights, .art ✨

Julia Whitworth is from Memphis, Tennessee and spent her summers as a camper and counselor from 2007 to 2014. She is now an artist and entrepreneur, having built her own art business from the ground up.

After rediscovering painting in 2021, Julia quickly gained momentum, selling her first piece within minutes and growing a client base across the country. What began as a creative outlet turned into a thriving business through consistency, reinvestment, and a clear plan.

Inspired by the same connection to nature she experienced at camp, Julia often takes painting trips to fully immerse herself in natural settings, allowing the colors, movement, and energy of the outdoors to shape her work.

Her advice for aspiring entrepreneurs: start before you feel ready, reinvest in your craft, and give yourself time to grow something sustainable.

Today, Julia creates original collections, works with clients nationwide, and hosts monthly art classes from her Memphis studio, all while building a life centered around creativity and family.

We are seeking a part-time, year round program director to lead key programs and collaborate with the Co-Director of Administration. The Program Director leads program planning, recruitment & retention efforts, and collaborates with leadership to bring our campus to life each summer. The Program Director manages a seasonal team of counselors, cooking and cleaning staff, and our camp nurse. Room and board are provided for when camp is in-session, including staff training and special events. The remainder of the year is remote work. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, a detailed planner, and has demonstrated camp leadership experience. Preference given to applicants who live close to camp.
