We’re getting close to kicking things off and wanted to share a quick update!

📅 New League Start Date: April 1st
📌 New Registration Deadline: March 26th

We are currently sitting at 5 teams and would love to get at least 1 more team to hit our goal of 6 teams. If you’ve been thinking about entering a team — now is the time!

🥎 League Format:
Wednesday Night Doubleheaders (as of now)

I will be reaching out to all coaches soon with the full schedule and additional details.

💲 Entry Fee: $450 per team

⚾ Wi******er Men’s Softball League – 2026

The Wi******er Men’s Softball League is gearing up for the season and we are now taking team registrations!

📅 League Start Date: March 25, 2026
💲 Entry Fee: $450 per team

Teams Needed:

Minimum: 6 teams

Maximum: 8 teams

Right now it looks like we will have around 4 teams, and I’m hearing 2 more teams are potentially putting a team together. We would love to get to 6 or even 8 teams to make this a great league.

🥎 League Format:
This will be Wednesday Night Doubleheaders

⚠️ Important Notice:
League insurance is required this year, which has resulted in a small increase in the entry fee. This ensures proper coverage for teams, players, and league operations moving forward.

📌 Registration Deadline:
March 18, 2026

The Wi******er Softball League is gearing up for another great season, and we are planning to bring back Men’s League Softball this spring!

✅ Men’s League Details

League Start Date: March 25, 2026

Entry Fee: $450 per team

The City of Decherd was recently awarded the OREC Planning Grant through TDEC and the Tennessee Office of Outdoor Recreation, which will help us shape a long-term vision for the future of our parks and recreation system.

We have big plans for the City of Decherd Parks & Recreation, and we need everyone to come together so we can accomplish these goals. We are a small town with big dreams for the future of our city, our residents, and our children — and your voice is a crucial part of that vision.

📣 8 & 2 Coed League Announcement – Fall Season

Get your team together and join us for a competitive and fun season of coed softball!

🗓 Sign-Up Deadline: August 31
💵 Entry Fee: $425 per team
📍 Format: 8 Males / 2 Females on defense
🥎 League Type: Coed Slowpitch Softball

⚖️ League Rules Overview
Defensive Lineup:
• Must field at least 2 females on defense at all times
• Up to 12 batters allowed in the lineup
• Females may not bat back-to-back

Equipment:
• Men: Must use a 44/400 or lower compression ball (must be stamped)
• Women: May use any yellow softball
• No metal cleats allowed

Game Rules:
• 55-minute time limit
• Home Run Rule:
▫ 0–10 home runs, then outs after limit is reached
• Run Rules:
▫ 20 after 3 innings
▫ 15 after 4 innings
▫ 10 after 5 innings
• Courtesy Runners:
▫ One runner per gender per inning
▫ A runner may also be used for the pitcher

Due to the rainouts we experienced during the Men's Spring League, we've decided to push the start date of the Coed League back two weeks. The new start date will be Tuesday, May 20th.

🌧️ We appreciate everyone's patience as we work around the weather!

Good news — we’re still accepting teams! You have until Tuesday, May 13th to register. We’d love to have a couple more teams join the fun, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time to sign up!
